Congratulations!

Of course, it's never really over. Make sure they start keeping track of their presence in Canada and accumulating evidence they are here. It's far easier (for PR residency obligation or Citizenship) if you just start collecting the information now rather than waiting 3+ years to go back and reconstruct it.

It's a wonderful feeling to complete that landing process, though. Enjoy!

That's what I thought. I'm a fulltime student (student loans and grants, if I worked full time I wouldn't get enough money go figure -_-) so when we applied I included this information and bank statements. Husband works full time, we have some savings (not 10k, but pretty close). Apparently they now have decided that I never provided information proving that I can support him, since I don't work, and they've been looping around and not giving me a response about exactly what they want... first they told me proof of funds over 10k. I contacted them asking them WTF was up with that, NOW they just keep replying with a standardized response form saying they need a letter from my employer or my Option C printout from CRA... which only has the non-taxable income from my grants/bursaries. It's incredibly frustrating. I don't know if I should send them bank statements with our ~8-9k in savings, lists of our finances, proof of my loans, proof of his current employment, etc, or if I should start looking for a job ASAP... (which would screw me over and make me unable to finish the year I have left of school)

Send them the Option C printout. Include the other evidence. That should be sufficient for them. You shouldn't need to go find a job. They don't have a lot of latitude here. In addition, you can also include evidence of your husband's employment - their only goal is to ensure you don't need social assistance, so husband's employment helps establish that.

If they refuse, dig in and be ready to prove it at appeal (I'm assuming outland here so you can go to IAD, otherwise your only option would be Federal Court - but I think a good argument in either case and you'll win, because CIC would be on very thin legal ice here.)

Thank you. This is a great holiday gift!

congrats to everyone who got status updates and/or visas. Best of luck to everyone still waiting.

my wife's eCAS today changed to "complete" on the pr application part, but still no "you entered Canada on....." line yet.
But now we wait for PR Card.

Wonder after how long will her eCAS access be closed

My status in e-cas is now "complete". I still haven't seen my PR card, but I assume this means it has been issued and sent by CPC-S.
