probably something to do with what if the relationship does not work out.....if they already have their PR no problem...but if they don't then when the visa expires and they don't leave the government has another headache...then they get into the whole...pull my application....etc. as well they won't be able to work cause until they have their PR no sin card no med coverage nothing so I think that is just a whole other can of worms....as much as I would like the idea and also if my husband could not work it would drive him crazyBCgirl2012 said:This thought has been bugging me for some time: why there's no "partner temporary visa" in Canada? I mean, even if the processing time is short, why our partners can't come with us to some place they will call home?
Granted, I understand they are worried about MOC in CIC, but so what? They are giving temporary visas for studying and for jobs. No one seems to worried about the what if scenario of if they decide to stay in Canada. On the contrary, there is a immigration class called "Canadian Experience" or something like that if I am not mistaken that deals with exactly with those people. So CIC has that part figured out.
Now can someone please tell me why the same principle can't be applied to people with Canadian partners? i.e. temporary visa till they get their PR sorted.
