Do you, or does anyone else, know how long it takes to get a VR extension? Sent ours in about a month ago, haven't heard a peep.

It's posted on the CIC website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp

It says 55 days ("working on applications from July 27, 2012") for online applications and 69 days ("working on applications from July 13, 2012") for paper submission.

I've been checking it because my work permit extension was submitted back in August. Over the summer, every week that went by increased the processing time by several days and even this week's update increased processing time by 2 days for work permits. Once I have my COPR back, we'll withdraw the work permit renewal. At least we get the $150 application fee back, but the $1600 lawyer's fee is water under the bridge.

So you probably have another month before you'll hear anything on your visitor's extension.

Thanks, Computergeek, that's what I thought.

It took my husband's about a month and a half via Online.

We've been "In Process" since Sept. 24th.

We've had DM2 since September 12th. Just waiting for my wife's passport to be returned.

If you or your sponsor is in Canada, you need to call cic to find out what happened. You should have received something by now. I would call ASAP.

You should have had a decision on your sponsorship by now. You have to contact CIC.
According to CIC site they are
"Working on applications received on July 12, 2012"

As in people who work there or people who are applying?

While I'm anxious, I don't worry too much about it. I have enough going on in my life that keeps me busy. Even still, church/God helps me not worry about immigration so much!
