Hola,
I got my first AOR this morning at 6AM PST. I am delighted. Thanks to every one in this forum. This is really helping to project the timeliness.

I tried to login to check application status link on cic website to check the Application received date but unable to login to the system. When it asked Identification type, I selected receipt number and typed the B********* from the AOR , it returned saying not found information.

Please share your experiences using this service.

if you select Immigration file number you will be able to ente the B............................
and continue with your last name, date of birth and country of origin
try again and all the best

Yes he is right
I have not got yet AOR but a B number and did not know that its this what everyone has been issued and could be used to view application status. Anyhow after reading your post tried it and it worked has shown me my application status

Subject: English proficiency points

Is CIO or visa office, who calculates the total points ? As I did not take IELTS but submitted letter providing my proficiency in English. Now I got my first AOR. How do I know if my letter was sufficient to demonstrate my English proficiency or not? How do I know what points did they allocated for language proficiency?

Walikum Assalaam Dear Friend,

1) On top comes the AOR mail, after that the Visa Office checklist, that will be the London office checklist in our case (showing tick marks of forms attached within) then of course the forms which we are sending and related documents. Attach the fee payment form only if you're paying the Right of Permanent Resident Fee (RPRF) i.e. CAD $ 490/- usually applicants are asked to pay RPRF fee when they get medical requests, if you wish to submit it now then it is fine, otherwise there is no need to do so right now.

2) No photos should be pasted on forms, you should supply them in a separate envelope, 4 per person. Note: Photos for non-accompanying members are not required.

3) Yes, both forms should have fresh dates and Original Signatures

4) Regardless of any verifications and attestations performed from our side, Immigration Offices (IO) verify educational documents by contacting the Governing Bodies, for example, Punjab Board, Sindh Board, HEC, Foreign Affairs e.t.c. You can attach the university verifications, but the IO will still perform their Standard Checks.

Much appreciated sir.
Now couple of questions as i was going through the things today

1) Shall we have to send the entire package again i mean as it was sent to CIO which also included the Document check list and fee payment form?

2) They have asked for fotographs for each person. Shall one attach one fotograph for each person on the forms and send 4 separate fotographs in an envelope or we dont need to attach a foto on the form. In that case these shall be 5 fotos.

3) As far resigning the forms is concerned i checked all the forms and there are just two forms on which we need to resign (or atleast fresh signs and date) i.e.

a) 4th page of Schedule 1 back ground declaration
b) Additional family information form

Shall we have to submitt with fresh dates and signatures?
Or just the 4th page of Schedule 1

4) As far transcripts in university sealed envelopes are concerned no one in PU understands this.
However i got mine and my wife's degrees verified a month ago and university sent me letters verifying these letters would these be enough means if i attach these letters and note that these are original verifications from university and send alongwith original transcripts and notarized copies of the degrees
To my mind this should be proof enough.

Oh yeah was almost slipping out of my mind i called the CIC number yesterday and discussed about the email about invalid credit card.
Checked with my brother he said yes he has been issued a new credit card with same number but different expiry date last week.
Anyhow i asked agent how could i update the credit card info. Replying this he said, you can respond to the same email.
I asked would it be wise to send a hard copy? He said if you want to its OK but you can send them the updated information while replying this email. So i updated via that mail but have not heard anything from CIC yet.

More questions will arise and i shall post as they come up

Whereas, the Visa-Office is the real deal and performs detailed assessments, no matter what language points you claimed at the initial stage, the practical output of the entire application should get you a 67 to be a successful candidate !!

There is no hard & fast rule mentioned regarding this, but lets say dates of a day to two weeks early, when you would be submitting your complete set, would be fine.

Dear All,

Here is my situation:

1. I applied for FSW and waiting for my 1st AOR from Sydney. My CC has been debited.

2. I live in the U.S on H1B visa and work for a company but my contract and H1b Visa will expire on 31st of July.

3. I selected Buffalo as visa office.

4. I am married and my wife is on F1 visa. She has 3 years or less to finish her program.

Now my problem is the following:

I would like to return to my home country and leave my family in the US until my wife finished her degree. I could stay in the US as her dependent but I really do not want to do that.

My questions are:

1. Can I still send my full application to Buffalo?

2. In case the send us medical request, can I do the medical visit ( With a doctor authorized by Canada Immigration) in my home country?

3. Do you think I am better off by changing my visa office to the one covering my home country if that is an option? But then again the rest of my family will be in the US.

Please Please Senior Help!!!!!!!
