Hi BK. Please don't get me wrong but this is just to explain my reply.
Not all sponsors are asked to submit tax documents. In the case of alan_eatbread, his sponsor was self employed that is probably why it was required. If he was employed, it would be quite easy for Canadian government agencies to check his financial background. I know several people who have successfully landed in Manitoba and the financial capacity of their sponsors were not questioned because the applicants were able to provide proof of sufficient settlement funds.
I believe MPNP evaluates applicants on a case to case basis. No one can accurately say that what happened to one applicant and his sponsor will happen to another. What I told MRSWENG was that he MAY still be qualified for MPNP despite the financial condition of his sponsor, if he can prove that he has adequate settlement funds, and because of the fact that applicants are responsible for their own funding, and not their sponsors. I never said that he/she is outright qualified or not. I encouraged him/her to read on the website of Manitoba and the PNP kit for more detailed information
It is not right to simply say that someone is not eligible to apply. We should at least encourage forum members to do a little more research and let them see for themselves.
Regards and good luck to all of us!
