Thanks. Uu matagal ang parents' sponsorship, 4 years na kasi I sent application August 2008, CIC filed it on December 2008. We thought that we will wait another 3 years for PPR and MR after I got approved as sponsor in May. It was surprising to received PPR and MR from Manila visa office last month. My family and I are very thankful. All glory to God.

wow! so happy kna siguro ngaun moraine. :) namiss ko tuloy ang parents ko. heheheh

Nakakainip na! June 8 pinagbayad na kami ng landing fee so I did that. July 25 natapos na yung sputum test ng tatay ko. Ok naman lahat ng medical I think, wala ng pinaulit. Yung PPR nung June 9 pa, kelan kaya lalabas ang visa? Nakakainip naman talaga.

Thanks! Sa St. Luke's sila nagpa medical. I'll assume na end of July na forward. Ano pa bang magagawa natin kung hindi maghintay. Naiinip lang ako talaga sana before mag winter andito na sila pra hindi sila ma shock sa weather.

I can not blame you for venting, lovely20. It is indeed harder when you feel powerless and all you have to do is to WAIT. I feel you. I also noticed that you have been waiting since AUGUST 2007. Sigh.

High 5 joidiple! :D Napatawa mo ako!

I had been corresponding with creampuffs during my parents' application for super visa.

Kumusta na creampuffs? May I know why you're here? I remember you in super visa application Manila visa office thread!

Mga kababayan ko,

Sana makatulong ito "in understanding the vastness of [the] work and the consequent delays that may occur in processing applications" sa CEM.

one year yun from date of your medicals.

guys, i've been reading other country's immigration programs particularly that of australia, dunno if anyone of you have knowledge about it but here it is... in australia you have two options, one, apply for it and pay just around $9k for both parents but processing times is 22 years. secondly, apply for it and pay humongous amount of $89k but you can have your visa done in 2 years only. thats the dilema aply or not to aply. years back, Canada had been copying australia's immigration policies specifically that of skilled workers. in short, new policies for parents are being polishd while it still at pausd for two years and these new policies would most likely resemble that of australia's. do you think so? so i guess those whose papers are already on file give your best shot, do good, from your medicals to the documents they require you. this is just my observation but feel free to do the search and see for your self. :)

in addition to this, aside from paying these big amounts you still have to comply with the balance of family test. Canada have patternd its skilled worker policies to that of australia's, baka gawin nila sa parents category. but again this is personal observation lets see neks year balikan niyo na lng tong post ko paki-like pag ganun ginawa nila.... :D :D :D :D

I got curious and went over Australia parent migration website. Here's some relevant items:

1."Normal parent Visa:
A 'normal' parent visa means that the application goes into a queue, this queue takes 15 + years.

- This means that such a visa is not a realistic option. -

11. Contributory Parent visa: -What are the charges ?

1st instalment - application fee approx. AUD2060
2nd instalment - each person pays approx. AUD42,250
The contributory parent visa category also requires a 10-year, AUD10,000 Assurance of Support (AoS) bond for main applicant and AUD4,000 adult secondary applicants
Processing time for this are 6 - 12 months.

Let's all pray that Canada will not pattern their system to that of Australia otherwise it would be a great burden for anyone to sponsor their parents.
