@ June_bug mother ko lang ang na-sponsoran ko. Dont worry tiyaga lang sa pag-hihintay,
darating din ang visa ng family mo.. just keep praying :)

@ lovely20, bear in mind.. once the RPRF has been made, you have to fax or e-mail the CPC-Mississauga and tell them to notify Canadian Embassy in Manila about the payment. Failure to do so will delay the processing to 1 - 2 months. It was happened to me, to Jomjom and Shakey. :)

Thanks NorthYork, anong email address nila?

Got it guys! Thanks sa reminder. I sent a copy of the RPRF Receipt to CIC Mississauga and sent them an email too. I instructed my dad to include a copy of it when they submit their passports tomorrow.

Congratulations Ms. jomjom!

I've landed back in Calgary again! finally A PR holder not a tourist! weeee. :) I arrived last June 5 :)

hi guys,

Bago lang ako dito and I want to share my case. last May 23, we received our PPR via snail mail. We submitted our passports last June 4, and the CEM received it the next day, June 5. Thanks guys, this waiting game kills me haha. btw, i am a dependent of a parent sponsorhip. My sister in Canada sponsored my Dad, my Mom and Me. Lord willing this week mareceive na namin yung visa, im very excited to see a maple leaf in my passport. God bless.

Thanks Shakeyy,

My family will arrive on Monday June 18 via China Airlines
Please pray for my family's safe travel.

Thank you all!

hi june_bug, it was at CIC-Ottawa..Yeah, i just made her travel from our province the next day..and she had her exams yesterday (June 7)...grabe ang postal services sa atin no? buti na lang me palugit na 5 days pa, hay naku... btw, here's my timeline:

August 6, '08 - confirmation of receipt ng application
November 25, '11 - add'l docs request
February 06, '12 - receipt of add'l docs
March 19, '12 - notice of complete appl'n.
March 29, '12 - approval
May 10, '12 - date of letter from CIC- Ottawa for medical request
June 05, '12 - letter received by mom
June 07, '12 - undergone medical exam

Hi blue_angel,

Meron akong tanong. When you received your approval letter from CPC-M, did they specify sa letter that the file was transfer to CIC-Ottawa? I heard in the other forums na in their letters inispecify nila that files were transferred to LVO's and they found out eventually thru the call agents that there files were transferred to CIC-Ottawa, so they were confused. I notice as ma bilis ang Ottawa kay sa LVO's. Salamat.

Hi june_bug,

Hindi in-specify sa letter kung where it was transferred, basra ang sinabi lang e it was forwarded for further processing and then if local knowledge is required it will be forwarded to local visa office...ganun lang ang nakalagay sa letter...

you mean DM na ecas niyo? taga saan kayo? kung within metro manila, u will receive it within a week pero pag sa province ka give them two to three weeks.

Guys, i'm stressed out with my mother's medical exam procedures...i thought this would be the last hurdle in my sponsorship application...has anyone here had their parents undergo medical exam with Timbol's clinic? Grabe kasi, lagi silang pinapabalik-balik dun for a series of tests, the most recent is TDF which will cost 7500 Php and another x-ray in 3 months time!?!?!?...she had her x-ray twice na, pina-ECG pa, tapos ni-refer ulit sa isang cardiologist para sa BP etc..then hiningan ulit ng set of pictures (nagbigay na siya when she first came to that clinic)... she's been healthy all her life and never been hospitalized ever...she was out of the Philippines before and lived in Australia for a while (but that was ages ago, though)...pwede kayang pull-out yung medical referral niya from that clinic and transfer to Nationwide Health Systems (which I heard was straightforward, reasonable and faster)...haiisssttt, grab..nakaka-stress, di na ako nakakatulog kasi iniisip ko kung ano na naman ipapagawa...it has been like this for the past 3 weeks...as in every week bumabalik siya....-:(

yeah, it was too late na when i read it, i should have researched first before letting her go there..i gave her the freedom to choose kasi and she wanted a lady doctor, kaya ayun...she's 65 years old...dun din ba nagpa-medical ang parents mo?
