It was Oct. 22, 2010 when I submitted my application to Nova Scotia, Canada with high hopes of getting the first step to our Canadian dream. I can still remember the joy me and my wife felt when I receive the PER. The excitement when the 2nd AOR arrived. The anxiety all over waiting for the results of our Medical exam. We cannot hide our emotions when we learned about our PPR and the Decision Made status.

And now, today May 19, 2011 10:15am, after almost 7 months, the most awaited immigrant visa in in our hands. Nothing compares to the feeling of receiving your visa. Different kinds of emotions are felt. My wife cried because of happiness and relief. This is the fruit of our sacrifices, patience and some hardships.

We thank God for granting us this once in a lifetime opportunity. Every step of the way, He is with us. Our faith really helped us throughout the process.

Canadavisa forum , thank you for all the infos.

Congratulations prinsipe! You are a living proof that post June 2010 applicants are really processed faster!

Congrats freetorch99!! Lapit na rin nga pala expiry ng visa mo. August na pala. Gosh. Buti na lang na-release na finally with enough time for you to prepare. So you got the passport first before your ecas was updated to DM?

prinsipe congrats rin! hehehe!

Thanks paulferrer, badtzmaru.
It is really fast. I do hope future applicants got inspired and make their move now to make their Canadian dream a reality in 6-12 months. I got mine in 7 months. God Bless.

Thanks badtzmaru, yes my ecas is still in process when CEM called up and sent our passports this morning, according to CEM expect passports to arrive within 24 to 48 hours. Hope you get your visa too;D

Thanks Canimmigrant for updating my timeline nag-red narin ako sa wakas. I'm sure your visa will arrive soon baka sabay pinadala yung sa atin. :D 8) :)

Padre Pio's daily novena prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus was so effective for us.

TIP lang po: Para mas masarap ang lipad papuntang Vancouver and you're taking PAL, book the Mondays-Wednesdays-Fridays PAL flight to Vancouver. You'll be riding a brand new Boeing 777 instead of the ageing Airbus A340-300 that runs on Tuesdays-Thursdays-Saturdays. :)

Depende ang faster processing kung di ka natabunan ng panibagong ministerial instruction... What's sad, is that, wla man lang palabra de honor ang canada... They also promised the pre june applicants for that 6-12 months processing... Pero look what happened to us...14months passed..no PPR...hmmm....kya inspiring tlga story niyo...pero ang sa amin disappointing...

Good luck sa inyong life sa canada... :D

Ahaha! Cool! Thanks for the info Beaver! These flights then must have inflight entertainment per seat.. I hate it when there isn't such on long haul flights. Lol! Gusto ko kasi movie marathon ako whenever mahaba ang viaje. 8)

Yey faithfully hopeful! Good to see you back! Yeah it was quite a disappointment back then for me to realize that passports weren't being returned at the previously expected time. Thankful na lang talaga at least that
1) hindi rejected ang application from the onset lol or
2) that my app didn't get a DM status before any medical exam request was made ('cause this would mean that the application was unsuccessful). Or
3) that my 2nd/current app isn't caught in a significant number of years of delay (despite this months-long passport return) due to a new ministerial instruction, unlike the first one. Basta wag lang yeeeaarsssss ulit ang hihintayin to hear any update, parang awa, d ba. haha.

So for me, as long as walang DM indicating rejection, may pag asa. Time lang talaga kalaban (and yes let's admit it: as a consequence of CIC introducing new intructions when the remaining applications from the last previous instruction have not all been completely processed yet, kahit na bayad na.). =)

*waiting mode*

I feel for your friend. Ako din nagstart ako mabadtrip after ng 90 days deadline after PPR. Kasi I booked a flight to Singapore na I eventually re-booked,
ayun gastos. Same tayo nagsubmit ng initial application March 2010. Iba-iba talaga ang experience per person. Not to sound selfish, but I hope tapusin muna nila mga previous applications
bago magrelease ng bagong ministerial instructions. Dami pa ata pending yung pre Feb 2008 applicants, and Pre June2010...

Thanz bootz and vargiemaricel for sharing ur landing experince! Guys nagpdos kami last week and pwede pala natin ireimburse pagibig contribution natin, nagpunta na kami sa pagibig last monday and submitted an application for the reimbursement, mabilis lang process ng application, we're waiting for 3 weeks before marelease check, visit nyo website pagibig, ito requirements nila...:

Thanks jack*** for this info. It's good to know that it's possible to get the check in 3 weeks. Sa ibang forum kasi it took one forum poster a month, 3 months or 6 months. It was one of my worries in relation to getting back my passport with the visa asap. Hopefully it's now a standard procedure with Pag-Ibig to release the check within a month regardless of the number of years of work/or number of employers of the Pag-Ibig claimant.

I did not claim my Pag-ibig contributions bago ako umalis last Feb. ... Pwede naman later on di ba?

I was thinking hayaan ko muna magearn ng dividends para lumaki naman then pag nagvisit ako sa 'pinas ulit that's when I'll file a claim... After 3 years hopefully pag Canadian na passport ko :)

i really hope i-release na nila yung lahat ng mei sept expiry. we have barely 4 months to go if di pa nila i-release.
weekend is here again, next thing we'll know tuesday na! Visa for all of us. :)

;D Hello Everyone!

Update ko lang kayo, We just received our Immigrant Visa yesterday after lunch via DHL. YAHOOOOOOONG YAHOOOOO!!!!! After all the long wait... This is one of the happiest moments in our life. Ang sarap buksan ng package. Thank you God for all the blessings. September and expiration ng visa namin pero we'll be leaving in a week na as I cannot travel after 3 weeks due to my pregnancy. We're just hopeful na umabot ako sa OHIP or else malaki ang gagastusin namin sa delivery ng baby. Buti nga super considerate ng embassy with regards with out situation.

Para po sa mga still waiting, don't give-up. There is always hope and yours will arrive very soon na din.

This is going to be a long journey for our little family but we're very happy and ready.

God Bless everyone!

Btw, Ask ko lang po for the PDOS Seminar. Do you have to register first or call them or pwedeng walk-in na? We are running out of time as we will be leaving by the 30th of May na. Help po please. thanks!
