teka, welcome gade23! nakikita kita sa kabilang forum ha. try to hang out here. maraming active participants dito. anyway, one quick note. i've attended a special ciip session for ictc (information and communication technology). we met the program director and the vice president who gave us time for one on one sessions. basically, the session was for a pilot program which needed inputs from IT professionals - hence we were chosen as volunteers. when you attend the basic ciip, try to find out if there are similar programs from your sectors. malaking tulong specially for the one-one sessions.
also, i asked the ciip representative about the "slow" release of the visa. this seems to be the case and i think there is some truth behind the "staggered" thing. the representative said that the quota for last year has been reached and spilled over this year hence they are now controlling the issuance in compliance with the mandate of the Federal Government. the good thing about our case is that we have a definite date for visa expiry. kaya kung baga naka-earmarked na ang papers natin and for release na lang. there are recent cases na ang visa is release 2 months before its expiry. parang nagiging ganun ang trend -- pero sana naman mas earlier.
so, fellow appplicants, hinay lang siguro tayo muna. we're almost there so just hang on. let's make our wait meaningful in the meantime.
