to all,

besides work, meron pa ako isang favorite gawin, i hope its OK to all of u, i wanna share this to those mukhang napapraning na sa kahihintay, minsan ganyan din ako (abnormal cguro ang hindi ;D, i ask myself, visa kaya o rejection, dalawang bagay lng yan eh, we can never be so sure about it) but i know, worrying will do me no good, so I read inspirational messages.. hope the quotation below will lift up your spirits..galing to sa KERYGMA FAMILY, and this is the message for today..

"Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen"

All of us experience various storms in life. A major problem comes our way. A life-threatening illness attacks us. A loved one passes away. A job is lost and we don’t know how to feed our children. A marriage breaks up because of the betrayal of one partner… The list of possible storms hitting us in life is endless. (IN OUR CASE, OUR VISA'S DELIVERY IN OUR DOORSTEPS)
What do we do in such situations? Are we like the disciples — afraid, scared, having sleepless nights and our blood pressure shooting up? Do we ask God, “Where are you? Don’t you care? Why are you silent?”
These questions will come naturally, but do we entertain them? If so, it shows that we still lack the rock-like trust and faith in a loving Father-God that Jesus showed when He slept in the midst of a stormy sea. The author of the Letter to the Hebrews writes, “Faith is… being certain of what we cannot see.” Do we thank God only when we see that He has helped and saved us? Or are we able to thank Him already when we don’t see His intervention yet?- Fr. Rudy Horst, SVD

something to really think about ;)

@ supereyt

medyo matagal na nga yung sau..you can send them an enquiry already. remember that the validity of visa is one year from date of medical...i think it will do no harm on you :)

(just my once cent..) Goodluck sau!

@ lou

i sent them thru fax and email na nga since december. kaya lg sabi nila for finalization pa daw and on due time e rerelease nila. kaya lang tagal tlga kasi nauna pa iyong mga late na nag pass ng passports.

sa global link kami nagpareserve pero its not final yet tag $771 each all in plus $80 for the davao-manila ticket kay dapat sa davao palang pang international na ang baggage allowance namo. via cathay air na sya then ang vancouver to winnipeg is air canada

Share ko lang din about our airfare. Kanina we bought our tickets na. 2 adults and 1 infant. Cathay Pacific going to Toronto. 1903 dollars all in all. Kasama na ang taxes plus Phil. Travel Tax (PTT). Ang baby namin, exempted sa PTT. Yung travel agency na rin ang nag-asikaso ng tax exemption cert ng baby namin a kinukuha sa Phil. Tourism Authority. 250 pesos ang bayad. 200 pesos for the certificate and 50 pesos for the service charge. This is A-ok and cheap ang SC kasi di na namin need magleave sa work para asikasuhin ang tax exemption cert. Na-apply na rin sa fare na ito yung first time immigrant discount. Merong offer ang Cathay Pacific. I just dont know kung meron ding discount sa ibang airline. By the way, 750 pesos ang terminal fee. Exempted ang baby.

pa-join :)

we're leaving february 4, got our tickets at saint raphael travel and tours sa greenhills. airfare for my daughter and myself is USD 1,514. manila to regina na sya. cathay pacific then westjet.

just want to ask, has anyone heard of anything about having a namesake, kapareho ng name? kasi i tried to get an nbi clearance kahapon unfortunately, may kapangalan ako ang feb.1q5 pa daw nila marerelease, almost 2 weeks after i leave. magkakaproblem ba ko sa immigration counter sa airport/departure? madedelay kasi they need to verify pa?

take the chance na lang siguro, hopefully yung kapangalan ko kung sino man sya eh mabait at walang kaso. :D

salamat sa mga na touch ng quotation ko ;D ;D ;D

since airline tickets na topic natin, may I ask those who travel overseas frequently, or kahit sino na may alam.. sabi sa COA, we are allowed to bring 2 pcs of 23kgs luggage per adult, in lieu of the luggage, pwede kaya yng balikbayan box (or alisbayan cguro, in our case ;D ;D ;D). kasi when i think about it, very bulky ang maleta, it will eat up a lot of space. so I plan to bring just 1 luggage and the rest is alisbayan box na, para pagdating don, pwede lng i fold ang boxes at ilagay sa ilalim ng mattress :D :D :D, or re-use it in the future at lagyan ng pamasko, etc ;D pabalik ng pinas. mas mura pa ang box.

tsaka EVA air offers low air fares daw, sabi ng travel agency na nakontak ko, kaya lng, d rin nila alam kng pwede balikbayan box don... baka may mabingwit ako na info d2. tnx in advance for sharing ur ideas, guys!

a blessed sunday to all!

eto yung updated list for the airfare ... hanap pa mga kasama ... magandang past time ito ...

@ mimi0713: Yup, sabi ng Cathay, we're allowed 2 baggages, 23 kilos each. Ito nga yung balikbayan boxes na tinutukoy mo na pwedeng mabili sa SM or sa Natl Bookstore. Pero for infant, 45 inches total lang ang size ng baggage/ box nila pero 23 kilos din ang weight.
