besides work, meron pa ako isang favorite gawin, i hope its OK to all of u, i wanna share this to those mukhang napapraning na sa kahihintay, minsan ganyan din ako (abnormal cguro ang hindi ;D, i ask myself, visa kaya o rejection, dalawang bagay lng yan eh, we can never be so sure about it) but i know, worrying will do me no good, so I read inspirational messages.. hope the quotation below will lift up your spirits..galing to sa KERYGMA FAMILY, and this is the message for today..
"Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen"
All of us experience various storms in life. A major problem comes our way. A life-threatening illness attacks us. A loved one passes away. A job is lost and we don't know how to feed our children. A marriage breaks up because of the betrayal of one partner... The list of possible storms hitting us in life is endless. (IN OUR CASE, OUR VISA'S DELIVERY IN OUR DOORSTEPS)
What do we do in such situations? Are we like the disciples — afraid, scared, having sleepless nights and our blood pressure shooting up? Do we ask God, “Where are you? Don't you care? Why are you silent?”
These questions will come naturally, but do we entertain them? If so, it shows that we still lack the rock-like trust and faith in a loving Father-God that Jesus showed when He slept in the midst of a stormy sea. The author of the Letter to the Hebrews writes, “Faith is... being certain of what we cannot see.” Do we thank God only when we see that He has helped and saved us? Or are we able to thank Him already when we don't see His intervention yet?- Fr. Rudy Horst, SVD

virgiemaricel said:Share ko lang din about our airfare. Kanina we bought our tickets na. 2 adults and 1 infant. Cathay Pacific going to Toronto. 1903 dollars all in all. Kasama na ang taxes plus Phil. Travel Tax (PTT). Ang baby namin, exempted sa PTT. Yung travel agency na rin ang nag-asikaso ng tax exemption cert ng baby namin a kinukuha sa Phil. Tourism Authority. 250 pesos ang bayad. 200 pesos for the certificate and 50 pesos for the service charge. This is A-ok and cheap ang SC kasi di na namin need magleave sa work para asikasuhin ang tax exemption cert. Na-apply na rin sa fare na ito yung first time immigrant discount. Merong offer ang Cathay Pacific. I just dont know kung meron ding discount sa ibang airline. By the way, 750 pesos ang terminal fee. Exempted ang baby.
