@canimmigrant im with a family of 3 children, ages 11,4,and a 1 year old..we were suppose to go ahead with wifey to get settled first before the children follow kaso all plans are now out of order..nothing is indeed final until the big "V" is in our hands....

Thanks for the additional info canimmigrant. Yeah expect ko na rin actually to receive that visa before April 1 this year if we're lucky lol, otherwise, in July na siguro latest ideally (two months before my visa expires if I go by the latest information from others who've received their visas).

Good thing talaga our passports are with the CEM already and they themselves informed us of the expiry date of our visas. I imagine it's much more torturous for the rest na nasa waiting for MR and PPR stage pa lang. Lalo na the MR. Mamaya another 5-6 years ulit pala na wait time yan just like before or with the pre-NOC38/Feb 2008 apps.

So, hintay hintay lang talaga. Am not so inip much to land since that's really just a few months away, mas inip ako to wanna get things over with re the other to-dos that can't be done without the visa in my hands (book flight, attend certain seminars, etc). Yoko kasi na right before pa-alis na lang super dami pa ng ina-asikaso. Relaxed na dapat by then. haha! ;D One month before I depart the country I hope as much of my to dos as possible, if not all, are crossed off my list. I wish!! Hehe!

I plan to file my resignation in May at the earliest (assuming I have the visa already by then), last day some time in June (since 30 days notice kami at work when resigning). I look forward to that! haha! Kala ko nga Feb or March would be my last day, hindi rin pala. Hay. Lol! Our last pay gets released about a month after last day at work pa. I've also started selling my car too.

Am glad this thread was started though. Thanks to heatspine. Helps us keep each other updated and so not have to worry too much lalo na if you don't know if you're alone in this situation. Lol!

naku that's also our initial plan deverdad... that's the best way to do it kasi so you don't get overwhelmed... we initially wanted to have my in-laws bring the children 6 weeks after the dust has settled so to speak... kaso when i inquired, parang walang may alam kung papapasukin ba mga anak ko ng hindi ako kasama nila (apparently, the names of the dependents are STAMPED on the visa of the principal applicants... since the principal applicant is required to land FIRST or WITH the dependents, pano nga naman ma ve-verify ng port immigration officer na ako eh namamayagpag na sa canada hahahaha!)... so instead of risking my children to be denied entry, sabay sabay na kaming haharap sa hirap ahahahaha! but if your wife intends to go back for your entire family and bring you in, there won't be any problem dapat (i am assuming she is the principal applicant)...

anyways, badtzmaru, you're right, 2mos ang pinaka malapit sa due date na na release dito sa thread... that is why i'm inquiring if they had problems with their medical dahil ang tagal bago nirelease ang PPR nila from the time na medical sila... pero i'm still hoping at least 6 mos before ma release na yung atin... though sept pa naman talaga kami aalis hahaha! para nga matapos na si PDOS, flight booking, etc. etc...

oo nga... yung friend ko dala lang nya ang sample resume nya when she attended the CIIP... plus my sister in law who is canadian told us that some information (such as age, marital status, no of children) should not be included because it can be a basis for discrimination daw... anyways, goodluck!

Yeah, may pagka-hassle talaga with CIIP. : I emailed them late last year to ask if I can just bring the documents with me on the day of the seminar. From the reply I got, you gotta submit/fax/courier some documents first. I wish they'd change this policy of theirs. On this score mas convenient with the PDOS/CFO seminar if not for the visa number required (if you don't have the visa yet). Lol. Sabay two days pala ata CIIP. And on workdays too if I'm not mistaken.

So I've decided to just postpone attending the CIIP seminar until after I've resigned from work na lang siguro. Bummer. Hehe!

'Cause it appears they've begun this year staggering the arrivals of immigrants and emphasizing prioritization of the kinds of immigrants who'd be issued visas/land first among those whose passports they have in hand already in the CEM; regardless of who submitted their passports earlier or later than the other between/among classes and not within each class.

i.e., issue first the visas of FSW1 from 2005 or earlier, Family Stream/sponsorships, provincial nominees; then the FSW post-Feb. 2008. Maybe may proportioning of issuance as well for each class for each visa validity period too. Pansinin nyo rin the data on our Waiting List. Hehe! I suppose the perceived process is only fair. Lalo na for those who've been waiting years for theirs. As long as we also get ours with enough time to prepare for departure before it expires.

hi,ask ko lng klanagn b ang resume when u attend the CIIP seminar?for both the principal and spouse?klanagan b submit muna s kanila ang resume bago ka nila sked for their seminar?ano pa hinahanap nila?para maiprepare ko na kahit wala pa PPR namin.sensya n dami ko tanong.thanks.
