received application Nov.26 2013
sponsor approved and file transferred Jan 2014
more supporting doc requested May 2014 (regarding to settle down in Canada )
Request to re do medical and pay RPRF Mar 21 2015

That is my time line so far

my status on CIC just changed " in process " and "started to process application on March 21st 2015"

seems like getting close to the end (hopefully )

We're almost on the same timeline as you are. It seems they are finally getting to some of the backlog. We did remed last month.

We received your application for permanent residence on December 24, 2013.

We started processing your application on February 18, 2015.

Medical results have been received.

Hi,

Me and my partner were Nov 2013 applicant. As of Feb 20 our status changed to "In process" and already requested for remed and updated NBI clearance. I have submitted all their requirements and as of today we haven't got any feedback. You think it's advisable to send them a follow up email or just wait? We're almost on our 16th month since we applied, back then the timeline should not get until 14th month.

What do you think? This is really frustrating. :( :( :(

Everything points that your file is in good direction,
Manila Visa Office is working very slow, I would give
more time make any enquire.
I believe that you may see DM any time by mid to end
of April.
If they were not going to give a positive Decision they
would not ask for re-med. That's the element that points
that your file is going in the right direction.

Just be patient. The day is approaching, but still some more
time to wait.

Yes, you are getting to the end,
I believe that your DM will come by mid May...
You are almost there, but still some time to the end.

April ends you will have DM and possibly your visa on hand.

Oh yeah.. I hope so too.. the sooner the better. Thank you for sharing your positivity.

So it appears as if things are moving fairly quickly with the newer applications. 3/7 of the November applications received PPR within 30 days and our application just changed to DM (visa-exempt country) earlier this week. I initially assumed our application was being withheld in Mississauga since we didn't receive the SA letter (it was supposed to be mailed rather than emailed according to ECAS) but when I spoke with the agent today he said it was in fact sent to Manila. That makes our application the fastest to go from SA to DM on the spreadsheet (31 days, previous fastest was ~45 days)

H just new here...sa in march...hows your transition any spreadsheet guys?? So i would be able to see what to expect....thanks

It looks like CIC is processing a bit faster now , I hope everyone gets good news soon. Anyone know how long visa usually takes after DM is made and file has been finalized and they say visa package will be sent shortly ? This was the info we got a week ago, and I'll be back in phills in 2 weeks and would like to bring my wife back with me in 2 weeks.

Good luck everyone

It seems that there is not much movement for July 2014 apps sitting in Manila.

I would like to begin to accept the possibility for a remedical to be requested for my wife. Her meds will expire 2nd week of July 2015.
Approximately how much in Pesos is it to have her medical redone in Manila if it is asked for? Her first one was done in Bangkok. Is the medical UCI # that was issued for the first one, will it be used again for a redmed? Which office in Manila would be recommended for the remed?

Yes I know don't lose hope there is still time however I just want to prepare myself for that issue
Thanks

Chris

Hi, I am a Canadian citizen, and I am sponsoring my wife to come to Canada. She is a citizen of the Philippines, and we were married there in January. We want to appoint myself as her representative as I helped her and so that correspondence goes through me.

On form IMM 5476 I will sign 8. Your representative's declaration and she will sign 10. Signature of applicant. The part that I am not sure about is 10. Signature of spouse or common law partner (if applicable). The guide says "If your spouse or common-law partner is included in this request, he or she must sign in the box provided". Do I sign this? I have gone back and forth and cannot figure it out.

Any suggestions?

This is a generic form, then, it applies for cases in which both spouses are included in the application, therefore both have to sign, but in this case is just your wife included in the application, you are the sponsor and representative. Then, in this case she is the only person to sign because she is giving you the authority to represent her.

Re-assessment of medicals in Manila cost approximately 1,500 pp. around 20 - 25 % or the cost of a full medical examination.
You will need to enquire Manila Visa Office
This is the information of one of many places where she can do the Re-Assessment of Medicals, normally they will ask just for X Rays and confirmation of remaining in good health. Yes, you are right in assuming that is very possible that she will need to do Re-Meds, but who knows, maybe they re-assume to work normally... a year ago they were working very fast, then they started to slow down.

They can take one or two weeks to send the visa and confirmation of permanent residence, but in some cases applicants had to wait for a month or a little bit more. It is very possible that you will return with your wife to Canada.

I'm new to the thread.
I completed applications to have my children join me in Canada, as I am now a permanent resident and I was shocked to receive news they were refused visas :o !! My husband (Canadian) and I live in Canada, and I can't imagine why the Canadian government would want to separate a mother from her two pre-adolescent children. Does anyone have the name of the immigration program manager in Manila as I would like to contact him/her directly while I am here in Manila and not far from the embassy?
Anyone have any current information or a better approach to remedy what I can only hope is a massive oversight.
