Hi truesmile, I'm so glad that you are still in the forum. I revisit the forum because I want to get my son back here in Canada. I hope you can help me how to do, he got his PR and we both landed Nov. 21, 2013. Unfortunately we sent him back to the home last May 2014. Do you have idea how to get him back? Do I need to apply for a new sponsorship?
No, you don't. He still has a PR card that is valid until 2018, correct? I'm not understanding what difficulty you are facing here.

If he has his Permanent Residence card all what you have to do is to buy his airplane ticket
and get him here.
You are in a good timing to do that. But don't wait too long.

Honestly, I don't know that. My husband said we will apply again!!! Grrr!!! Thank you

Thanks Gumper. Glad to know that you're still hanging around. I hope hope the landing went well for your wife and son and that they are not so shocked with the canadian cold.

Thanks Edgehead. Yes the integration is going fairly well. Our boy has been in school 3 weeks now & absolutely loves it. His English is already hugely improved. Kidded my wife that he will "lap" her in that regard. Weather has been a bit of a shock for sure, they're certainly not used to wearing so many layers of clothes for one thing but they were ecstatic with the 1st snowfall (wait till March when we're all sick of it right!)

We haven't received the permanent Permanent Resident cards yet but they should be along soon....one month yesterday they arrived. We got the OHIP process done though they won't be able to use it until February. Biggest focus now is getting my wife a job, she's antsy to get out of the house & busy with a new challenge (and bringing in some extra money!) Lots of good services around for helping newcomers, and then the good old fashioned pavement pounding. Getting that 1st "Canadian experience" is the big hump to get over in any case.

A few funny adaptation stories too, like watching my wife walk around a mailbox figuring out where & how the darned thing opens! I was in stitches. Also one of 1st days here she dressed my son in shorts with long socks, figuring that would suffice in the near freezing temps that day. I've since schooled her in "layering".

I think the biggest challenge (mostly for my wife) has been the food. While she certainly likes much of Canadian food she really craves her Filippino dishes at times too....and lots of rice of course. Luckily there's lots of Asian markets around us so we can find most everything...except calamansi fruit. Oh well.

All the best, hope you (and others still waiting) get some good news soon...it's worth it in the end!

Visa on hand! Thank you Lord for advanced Christmas gift. ;D

That is my plan but it will depend on my vacation. Its pretty busy at work now and I'm not sure if my request will be granted despite I warned my boss long time ago that I would leave on short notice.

Congratulations...
your wife will get all the papers soon... your file went so fast..
like many applicants from the month of May....
Hi,
Just wanna ask any goodness for your application.

Does anyone know where the spreadsheet went? I tried accessing it today, but it appears someone has turned on password protection for it. Anyone have any ideas who?

No, no news, just waiting as everybody else,
we are waiting for DM like many others and just
wait, and wait.... It is good to see so many DM
in the last couple of weeks, I guess that our file is just
somewhere, very close to get the DM...
Feel so sad for so many that still waiting since 2013..
its going to be 2015 soon... that's a long wait....I guess
that with Immigration we need to learn to be patient...

Have a blessed 2015
