Hi everybody,
I have restored a previous version of the spreadsheet as it was very messed up by somebody.
All changes made after Nov. 20 have been discarded and has to be reinserted in the spreadsheet.
I want to add that I don't think the 2 columns I added are the cause of the mess up, this is the risk taken for having an open spreadsheet.

You do not have to wait 3 monhs for OHIP if you take the Sponsorship Approval letter which your husband recieved. You have become elligeable for OHIP 3 months after you became elligeable for the PR (I.e when your husband was approved to sponsor you).

This is very interesting. So can I apply for OHIP on my wife's behalf 3 months after I received SA?

You might be able to. However, be ready to put up a long fight and you might have to appeal to the OERC. I think we were very lucky. At my local Service Ontario branch they thought I became eligible 3 months after we got SA and ALSO 3 months after I entered Canada.

Has anyone had experience sending their applicants passport FIRST with the original application before the office requests it?

Also does anyone know how long it is before they would request a re-med if they would?

The wife and kid got theirs done late in October and we just mailed it yesterday.

Sorry for the poor choice of my words,
What I meant is couples with the same background have an easier processing,
couples that have different background seem to have longer waiting periods, but that is not always the case,
I guess that the bigger the differences in the couple the closer that they will see the application,
But for a couple that have kids and have been married for a while the waiting does not make any sense.

I went to the office of my MP this week,
but everybody was out, looks like everybody went
to Ottawa to celebrate Christmas,

I will see when I have time again to go,
because I prefer to visit in person for those matters.

But looks like they are not processing many applications,

We may be in for a long wait

WOW good for you teamgo.mine doesnt have any updates yet nor remed request,dont know whats happening on our application,last time we heard from our mp is it should be done by january so hopefully we will hear goodnews soon also..happy for you..congratulations!!!

They emailed on Thursday but we were in El Nido so didn't see the email until today. We booked the flights this afternoon for middle of January.

Still don't know negative result or not.
