Hi Everyone;
My wife just got her DM. it said A decision has been made . The office will contact you concerning this decision. My question is how long usually it take for the CEM to contact my wife and with that be through email? phone call or mail. Also, can my wife go to the CEM and pick up her passport with her visa? . I would really appreciate any help you guys can give me. Take care & God Bless

Usually, when you get DM, Visa is already out for delivery :)
It depends how far you are from Manila, most of the people get it in a week or two- maximum of 2 weeks I would say.

I know you are a Feb applicant as well, right? May I know your PPR date, will just need for the spreadsheet data.
Congrats btw! :)

I am by nature a very nervous person... I am quiet and worry a lot. This is not a good combo when dealing with immigration. I've told my story so many times. I sent my husband's application in September 2012, I was accepted as his sponsor in December. Manila requested all paperwork that I had possibly left to give (koseki tohon, translation, a few other paperworks and of course... his PASSPORT). Currently we are waiting in Canada on a visitor visa but we haven't heard back from Manila since May 2013. I am so frightened we were buried at the bottom of a pile or our paperwork was lost during the strike.
Nothing for him has been updated on the internet, it says he did his medical LAST YEAR (May 2012) but it doesn't show the update for the new medical he did in May 2013. It doesn't list as any decision made... it just says in process, and has been that way since September of last year. Other people I know who applied during my month have already been accepted months ago and already have landed.

I just don't know what to do anymore. I am pregnant and just want to be with my husband and start a life here in Canada...

Hello guys! I just want to share the good news. My ECAS changed to Decision Made this morning. I'm December 2012 applicant. :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Congrats Mrs. A and Abdull!

Yes congrats to all the A's you must be at the top of the list!

To Yumeryuu, contact your MP for an update on your file and don't take no for an answer. They can phone the embassy and talk to them personally.

Hey guys, dumb question but I just want to clarify. I can fold the COPR in half right? It's already getting creased and I don't like wrinkles in my documents! rawr.

Woooohooooo embassy called yesterday going to go pick up the visa on Thursday. Medicals expire on Dec 3rd so she needs to be here by then. So excited right now I can't stop smiling hehe.

Can anyone give me a basic rundown of what you need to do after? I think there's an afternoon class or something she needs to attend is that right?

She needs to do a pre-departure seminar:

seminars&catid=145%3Aintegration-and-reintegration&Itemid=833

it can be done in Cebu or Manila. I believe it costs 400 pesos. My wife did it in January and it took all day. Basically you need to get the certificate and a sticker for your passport. They only have 12 or 15 spots per day. So you need to get early to make sure you get a spot. My wife was there about 7:30 or 8 in the morning.

Congrats!

Hmmm i noticed in that link it says

One (1) valid identification card with photograph (eg., SSS ID, GSIS E-card, PRC ID, driver's license, postal ID, ARC, etc.)

She will only have her passport (which it mentions on a different line). She also has an old nbi printout with her picture on it but i don't think that's really a valid id (she can't use it at western union to pick up). Any idea if this might cause a problem?
