The bring forward dates, I have only been able to get through the MP's office, apparently they can get that info, but us mere mortals would not be able to comprehend it, unless it was filtered first for us.

With what I posted above, I'm not sure if it's actually helpful to seek advice from our MP's office.
I'll probably would not email them until our remedical is done to get an update if CEM received it, but other than that, I dunno how they could help me. ???

Yes, you are correct, this forum is invaluable, I am just about to write my MP's office again about our next bring forward date, and let them know, that is nothing comes from the 16th then it is all bets off, because we will then be just a week short of a year of screwing around with them, and that was the time line I was quoted, 12 months. And now having seen people from March of this year get through the process, I am not going to settled for being re-shuffled back to the bottom of some damned pile to wait again.

I have looked through the notes, and found nothing wrong or missing, everything checks out, they where just waiting on the new medicals, which they have in their possession, strike is over, so there is no excuses now.

Anymore delays after the 16th, are going to put us outside the one year mark, so I have full right to piss and moan, as one year was what I was told when I paid my money, and they gladly cashed the cheque on that one.

I really hope your waiting game will finally come to finish soon. I can just imagine your frustration right now.

Wishing everyone to get their Visas still with full sanity.

Another Q, I am planning to order 2nd set of GCMS notes. Do you guys think I can use the consent form I used for the first one? Or should we fill out and sign a new one with new dates on the signatures?

Thanks!

Well, it may be a bit "verboten" but..... a cautious use of white out and change the date on the old one, rescan it and email it off, and you will probably find you can tell if it will have been touched up or not :) not advising you to speed up the process or anything, just sayin' :)

Btw, the MP's constituent has been really helpful in getting a follow up for our application. We exchanged couple of emails, however, her information are not helpful at all!!!

She said that CEM just got my application this August (She was probably talking about the passport) and that there is 14 months processing time, meaning mine will not be up until October 2014. I'm like :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

I don't even think she knows what she's talking about. If I weren't part of this forum, I would've panicked to hear that October 2014 thing >:( >:(

Sad to say we have the same experience with our mp. They are really not helpful at all. I envy those applicants who have an mp that really did a follow up/update with cem. :(

You have to tell them what you expect of them. They get inquiries constantly and can get lazy just telling people to wait until they have exceeded the processing time. CIC's policy is 6 months so tell them that is your expectation. Other applicants that have applied after you are getting their visas ahead of you so the processing time is arbitrary. It has nothing to do with the actually processing time of the application but how long it takes for it to be reviewed. Tell them that waiting 14 months for a 6 month process does not meet your expectations and you would like to lodge a formal complaint.

Will doing that work? I mean won't it create some sort of a "ding" to your application? The VO might get irritated and make your process "longer" than usual because of a complaint? Just wondering ... :D

Does someone know how to order GCMS notes.
If someone can post a link it would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah i did the same thing for the permissions form on the GCMS, even better I never filled in the date when I got him to sign and scan, so I just put the current date on his signed copy.
