I e-mailed CEM on Sept 9 asking them if they got my passport and to remind them that my medical will expire on the 23rd of nov. i got this response from them:

Dear Ma'am,

Please be advised that your application is currently queued for review. Depending on the result of the review, additional information may be required.

Note that your medical results are valid until 08 January 2014.

We will be in touch with you if further information is required. Thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

What does this ??? mean? Why January 8?it's too far from my actual medical date. BTW, I submitted my medical with my app, so why January 8? does this mean I'm not gonna be getting my visa anytime soon????

That's cool that they sent a nice detailed response! Good news about the medical as well. It makes me curious if they are extending medical validity to reflect processing times now? It would make sense.

the processing times are already 14 months,,,,the date the medical expiry is when they (received)documented it from the doctor,,,,i just had my remed done july 17 2013 but it doesn't expire to august 11, 2014 ,,, the doctor sent it in around aug 1, 2014,,,,,i could easily understand a November medical surpassing new years as their would be 2 weeks that not much got done in the offices,,,,remember you medical is complete until all the blood tests are in etc etc

Well, if they are paying attention and you have an easy case, they might call you to the embassy to present a plane ticket in early to mid October.. just look forward to that maybe happening! And order your GCMS notes in the mean time to make sure your application is on track.

You can now submit your request using the ATIP Online Request tool, which is accessible via: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/ or send your request by mail.
