how does she get to cebu

She will fly there... but she is going with some friends and family to stay a couple of days before coming here. So she can use some of their baggage allowances.

Not for a while.. We don't have the visa yet. Just the PPR. But she was going through her stuff to see what she wanted to bring with her and stuff that she wanted to send.

These are exciting times for you guys. Very happy to see things close to the end for the folks I still know here.

Dear Kabayans,

Need some advice, already posted on the International Student Thread but nobody is answering :(

"Need help regarding eligibility rule specifically:

- You must satisfy an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your authorized stay.

Me & my wife are currently working here in the Middle East, I'm planning to get Diploma in Health Information in Toronto next year. We are having trouble deciding if she will come with me on open work permit, because she has a health problem(Thyroid Cancer). Would that satisfy the Immigration Officer that I will come back here in the Middle East with my wife? or would it be better if she would be included in my application in an open work permit?

If ever it would be good for us to go there together, my only argument left that I would leave Canada after my visa expire is that I have a land property in our home country Undecided"

Please advice

Thank you very much!

I would have to agree with Tagum... I don't know much about the open work visa and so forth.

Plus give some time for people to respond. You only posted this morning and not everyone is on the forum 24/7. If you post in sections where people don't know the topic, people will give you incorrect advice.

And as Tagum said "goodluck to your wife,,may she get better soon"

H guys,

I e-mailed CEM on Sept 9 asking them if they got my passport and to remind them that my medical will expire on the 23rd of nov. i got this response from them:

Dear Ma'am,

Please be advised that your application is currently queued for review. Depending on the result of the review, additional information may be required.

Note that your medical results are valid until 08 January 2014.

We will be in touch with you if further information is required. Thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Sincerely,

Family Reunification Unit | Unité regroupement familiale
Immigration Section | Section de l'Immigration

What does this ??? mean? Why January 8?it's too far from my actual medical date. BTW, I submitted my medical with my app, so why January 8? does this mean I'm not gonna be getting my visa anytime soon????

Please help..

How can i request for a gcms note?

Thanks.

I think it is probably the date of the info they got from the doctor. I think Tagum mentioned before that the date is not the actual medical date but the date received by the CEM, or something like that. I don't think it means that you will have to wait longer for the visa, based on the spreadsheet you should be near the head of the queue.
