im completely frustrated with cic/cem. i send my husbands app in oct 2012 to cic, it took them 5 months (march 2013), to send the app to manila. another 5 months (aug 2013) to send my husband's passport plus additional papers. and im still waiting here 11 months plus somewhat days and counting... and still nothing. im happy to see that everyone are getting their sa/ppr/dm/visa, and congratulations to you and your family. but why is my app taking way longer than other apps? why are people who have submitted their papers months after me already getting their visa (based on the spreadsheets/these forums).

i have a friend who submitted a form for her husband in feb 2013, and he landed here about a few weeks ago, it took them less than 6 months. (she is not in the forum). she had to resubmit additional doc. 3 times, (i only submitted add doc twice). but basically the same stuff i did in the process, but yet her papers were processed 4months after mine. it seems like my file is missing or something. and is really frustrating that they can see that my daughter has waiting for the last 11 months for her father to arrive.

is there anyone who is having way too long delays on their loved one's visa? (i know there is a strike, but there are people who are getting their app processed slowly - but how i see it, faster than mine). is there anyone that i can address my concerns to at cem? sorry, i know it's a waiting game, but it just seems to be unfair to people who have been waiting longer than others.

So i emailed cem last night asking for an urgent request to send the pp/visa/copr this week since we are booked next week... A few minutes ago i received a very important phone call fromMr DHL telling me that the package is here in baguio told them i will pick it up today but the weird thing is they dont want to release it to me, the mother... They said it is only my daughter who can recieve it! Told them she is just two!! They told me they have to call cem to authorize me, the mother of a minor, to recieve it. So i have to wait until tomorrow. But im still happy that its already here....

Similar situation to mine. I would email your MP and cc CEM, the Minister of Immigration and the MP's of the other parties to let them be aware of these delays. Give them your example of how is it possible that all applications are processed as they are received if others who have applied long after you have already landed.

well I for one understand how you feel,,,,,i see somehow you lost 4 months time on your SA approval,,,,,I lost a lot of time because of postal,,and emails to wrong address, CEM does not take in this loss of time,,,,,,,,also CEM prioritize apps with expiring medical,,,ibelieve yours has expired so that puts you in a slower group,,,but now that you have successfully got your PPR,,,i believe you are well on your way to the finish line,,,,,,but don't stop trying to find out why you don't have it yet,,,,,email CEM with a nice email ,ask for your remed request,,,,,order your GCMS notes,,,,,ask your MP to check for you,,,,,,,DONT USE THE GARGAMEL THEORY,DONT WAIT PATIENTLYI JUST WISH I HAD CHECKED INTO MY APP B4 1 YEAR WAS UP,,,,I JUST PRESUMED EVERYTHING WAS GOING AS PLANNED,,,,CEM MAKES SO MANY MISTAKES BUT SOMETHING IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS HAS CHANGED THERE,,,,THEY SEEM TO BE SO EFFICIENT,,,,,GOODLUCK

I would order the GCSM notes for your application and write your MP to get some help from them.

my wife went to LTO east ave today to get her drivers abstract in english .. so they asked her to fill up a request form i think .. and paid 100 peso .. after that they sent her to a person who they said was working for dfa and would process the red ribbon for it whom is also at LTO east ave .. that person asked my wife to pay 1600 and he'll process my wife's red ribbon and sent it to the house .. so being not sure to pay that amount of money my wife calls me about it to make sure .. so i've asked my wife to try having a receipt for the fee that the guy was asking and he said he cant produce any .. i do think he was a fixer on that area that runs errands for those corrupt people on that office .. anyway if any people runs into like that .. i do believe its better to just process your own papers and just go to dfa personally for the red ribbon .. since there was no assurance that the guy there was gonna do what he said .. and if he screws up we cant prove that he was involved on any of it ..

especially if you are on a time tight schedule .. a screw up could make you do the process from the start again and not have enough time to redo it ..

ive been in those situatons there and all of the time, you can count on these guys its the money exchangers in manila that you have to watch out for
