My wife's ECAS changed to "In Progress" last night! Hopefully CEM keeps going at the rate they are now! Her medical expires in 12 days.

YES HOPE IT KEEPS GOING AT THIS SPEED,,,,,BUT THE REGULAR WORKERS WILL COME BACK AND SLOW IT DOWN HOPEFULLY THE STRIKE WILL GO ON FOREVER,,,,,,,,,THE LAST 3 DAYS AT CEM IS A RECORD BREAKING

My wife's ECAS changed to "In Progress" last night! Hopefully CEM keeps going at the rate they are now! Her medical expires in 12 days.

I CHECKED AT 12:30AM 8 HOURS AGO AND IT WAS IN PROCESS,,,AFTER MY WIFE CALLED ME AT 5:30 I CHECKED AN IT SAID DECISION MADE,,,,SHE ALREADY HAD THE VISA

I CANT REALLY DESCRIBE HOW I FEEL,,,,I QUESS IM FREE NOW,,,,,I WILL SURELY WRITE A FEW NASTY LETTERS TO THE IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT,,,AND ASK THEM TO REVAMP THE ECAS AND ASK FOR MORE COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN CEM AND THE APPLICANTS,,,, THIS SYSTEM THEY HAVE SUCKS,,,,SO MANY MISTAKES THEY MAKE EMAILING ETC ETC,,,,,IT COST ME 1 YEAR OF MY LIFE,,,,,,THE ECAS SHOULD HAVE ALL THE NOTES THAT GCMS HAS,,,SO AT LEAST THE APPLICANTS CAN TELL IF THERE IS SOMETHING NEEDED FOR THIWER APPLICATION,,,I WILL ENJOY TELLING THEM HOW REDICULOUS THE SYSTEM IS

hahaha !! lol .. have a reporter cover your story .. hahaha so they'd get those locally hired or temporary fast workers be regulars and kick those pafso members out of the building hahahah

tell them if pafso didnt strike you might still be waiting for your papers hahaha

i do wonder .. if pafso members that went on strike decided to work now .. or if its just those temporary workers they put in place is now ready to take the job and they are really making way better results than the regulars

MY REMED WAS JULY 17 AND SENT AUG 1 ,,,,,,,,BUT THE EXPIRY IS AUGUST 13 WHEN CEM PROCESSED IT AND FILED IT,,,,,,SO FOR YOU APPLICANTS THAT ARE CLOSE TO EXPIRATION MAYBE YOU HAVE A FEW EXTRA DAYS TO KEEP UP YOUR HOPE FOR VISA WITHOUT REMED,,GOODLUCK,,,,,,,,this is why there was an applicant that landed a few days after 1 year of his medical,,,it was not expired

my gcms notes indicates that medical is good up to oct 27 .. which the day my wife got her meds done .. hahah i dont know hahah lol but that's not like what my gcms notes shows .. oh well i hope they are and you're right with that tagum .. that way some people wont need to worry too much

Congrats! That is amazing news. Sadly it took too long and you lost a lot of time. The whole process is so secretive and non informative. Their policy is "don't worry we have everything under control so no need to be kept up to date". But in reality they are incompetent and don't care about us.

On a side note, did anyone else notice they brought back application processing to Tokyo and Seoul? I guess it's a private company that does it. It says they are authorized to do admin work.

I totally agree how ridiculous the system is. Having gone through the residency process in two different developing countries in the past, the Canadian system is more archaic than both in my experience. In both countries I was allowed to stay and live with my wife throughout the process, they were much cheaper than Canada and I was able to get answers when I needed them. Sure one country I had to go hang out for half a day to get an answer regarding my status and it was in Spanish, but at least I got one. I didn't have to rely on a useless online system that is not updated regularly like ecas. Here in the Philippines my residency was really straight forward. The people were nice, always polite and answered all our questions. The interviews with the immigration lawyers were a breeze and pleasant, almost like hanging out with new friends. So far what I have read and experienced with the Canadian process (We are still early in the game), I feel as though we are treated as "guilty until proven innocent" with the VO's and we are either forced to live apart from our loved ones because of economics and/or where our spouses live (non-visa exempt country) OR we choose to sacrifice a few years of livelyhood to live with our spouses in their country until the process is over.... Just my two cents.
