Waste of money unless you have a fooked up legal issue.

I agree to an extent. I have a friend whose son was denied because of misrepresentation. But a good consultant knows who to call to push everything through faster.

;D.. Anyways, here's an update to my app.. I wrote email to CEM and MP early this morning around 3am! And blaaahhhhh....... the CEM replied to me. Here is the CEM's email:

Dear Applicant:

We are pleased to inform you that your visa(s) for permanent residence to Canada is/are ready to be issued, conditional to a final admissibility review by an immigration officer. In order to complete the process you may personally submit, on Mondays and Thursdays only @ 8 A.M., the following:

NOTE: Your visa(s) will be valid for your initial entry to Canada until 10/09/2013 (mm/dd/yyyy). Please ensure that the validity of your passport(s) is at least six (6) months beyond this validity date (note that any passport received with a shorter validity than the date shown above will result in a reduced validity for entry to Canada for all members of your family, if any).

1. A travel or airline booking certificate for a confirmed flight within the validity of your visa(s). Please note that we are not requiring a fully paid airline ticket. Kindly defer the final purchase of your airline ticket until you are in possession of your passport(s) and the appropriate visa(s).

The validity of a permanent resident visa - once issued - may not be extended, nor can replacement visas be issued with a new validity date. If you submit a booking certificate, it is taken as an indication of your ability and willingness to travel to Canada within the current validity of your visas as stated above.

2. Enclose two recent photographs of yourself and every family member who will accompany you to Canada. Please do not staple your photographs. Detailed instructions for the photographer are enclosed. Take these instructions to the photographer in order to obtain photographs with the required specifications.

3. PRINTED COPY OF THIS EMAIL

CHANGE OF STATUS. Should any of the following circumstances apply to you (or any person included in your application), you must immediately inform this office, in writing, for further action:

• change in marital status by reason of marriage, divorce, separation, annulment or

death;

• death of applicant, dependant(s) or sponsor;

• birth of a child;

• change in health

• the laying of any criminal charges or conviction for a criminal offence;

• change in your mailing address and / or telephone number

Failure to inform this office of any change of the above may render you and our family members inadmissible to Canada.

Thank you.. Hopefully it's a visa coming.. I told them that my medical will expire on Oct. 9, 2013 and I am so worried with that matter. I also told them to please finalize my visa cause I need to prepare before I move to Canada.

That is a common misconception. Once the application is in a pile of others it doesn't matter who prepared what. All applications request the same info. If you have provided what they ask for then it shouldn't matter who prepared it.

Totally agree that it is a misconception, although I have a consultant, still my papers went through the usual channel and delays within the CIC VO.

I paid a lot but it did not help much. I can say that they are good at is prepping my papers, stage by stage, page by page, It remove the headache of uncertainty about the proper docs submitted, so time is saved also in the process. If you ask me if I have to do it over again, still i will get a consultant for simple reason of I do not have much time to worry and wonder on simple things.

Exscuse what might seem like a simple question... but what is a

Just want to know if the applicant and sponsor will also receive an email from CEM regarding PPR for example or any update on the application even if they have a consultant/representative?

Thanks in advance...

On Philippine Airlines, you can reserve a ticket online without paying for it yet.. I wonder if that's it?

Or is it just their way of saying buy a ticket, but if you show up and for some reason you don't get a visa we are not liable :D
