I'd like to be a fly on the wall for that one.

I know I am still within the 12 months stated timeline (yeah I know NOW it is 14) but by the time they can even get around to doing anything about the remed it will be over 12. There is no way in hell it will get unscrewed in the next day or two. Not a this rate at least.

Time to prove or disprove that old saying about the squeaky wheel

filled out the online ATIP-AIPRP application to get my GCMS notes a month ago and yay guess what i got today..... a F000king scanned copy of my sponsorship evaluation IMM1283 .... like seriously WTF

Did you request it for the sponsor or the applicant? It should be requested for the applicant (along with the IMM5744 for permission from the applicant to the requester to access the file).

Hey Gort, hope life is treating you and the missus good!

I have no problem waiting my fair time, my issue is with the processing timelines getting twisted out of order and people applying months after me, moving ahead. Granted as you noted there is no pictures of me in the Phils, before the wedding, but the entire relationship happened in this country, not there.

So there (as far as I am concerned) is nothing that needs to be proven as far as that goes. CIC may question it, that is fine, then deny the app and I will appeal, not my first (or even second choice).

But I find the complete lack of communication with CIC/CEM unacceptable. We can not even get a response to issues with papers that will be out of date in the next couple of weeks. Which will result in another delay, not connected to, whether or not anyone from CEM believes me or my wife. And it was these concerns I outlined with the Ministers office, with a cc to the opposition critic and my MP, it was my MP's office who contacted me and said to come in and talk to them, as they where willing to get around the delays I am having with CEM and find out why our papers are being held up. This isn't the first time either, nearly three months to get from Mississauga to Manila, while lots of other people get that done in ten days or so.

Then CEM saying they didn't receive my wife and sons passports until June 24, yet we can show they signed form them on the tenth. Waiting our proper turn in line, I have no problem, and I know just from the spread sheet there are lots of people behind us who should be getting done first, and honestly I hope they do. But right now I have to concentrate my efforts on my wife and sons situation before I can do anything to advocate with any kind of efficiency for anyone else.

We got our DM early this morning (or was that late last night?). Got all excited and texted my wife to let her know. She is all excited now too.

But since then worry has set in. They only say "Decision Made" and no visa has appeared yet so technically the decision can go either way. I know it can take a few days to a week for the visa to be sent but that doesn't stop the worry. You know they should really tell you at the time they announce "Decision Made" just what that decision is. It's like they enjoy messing with people.

Meanwhile GCMS Part II is chugging along... Can't wait to see what it says.

I was having a crappy day at work but stopped at tim hortons for a coffee to get me through this job.. Came online and saw Gort posted which just made my day :) and then Scos' DM is great news! Hopefully Dan will get DM before signing up for Canada Post.. I hear there will be a lot of jobs available on the mainland soon after they decided to process all island mail in Vancouver x/

Nothing but good vibes to you guys scos!!!! my bones tell me it will be good for you!

Congrats scos! I'm pretty sure your DM means good news.

Dan, best of luck with your meeting with your MP. I hope they can tell you what the f is going on with your app and help you sort it out.

I sent my passport two days ago, and the courier finally decided to upate the tracking information today! Said that it was received by Bobby-Mailing Clerk. Does he sound familiar to any of you?

I found that adage to be profoundly accurate.

yes that does sound entirely familiar, I don't remember who signed at the VO office for it, but for us at least it still took two weeks to find it's way to the proper file. And I only found that out, by hounding Jason Kenneys office.
