There are plenty of Manila threads, but all in Tagalog, so I thought we need to start one in English for those of us who can't participate - for example, Canadian spouses of Filipinos, or applicants from Japan and other countries that are processed though Manila.

Thanks for this post ;)

Its been two months since my Sponsorship Approval.. Should I be bugging CEM? or what is the normal waiting time from SA to PPR?
Anyone?

If you look at the spreadsheet, people in January are just starting to get PPR. How long from SA to PPR? that depends on so many factors. But a good indication is to follow the spreadsheet and see when those around you get PPR.

Time line:

I submitted our application in Dec 2012 got an email for "approved as sponsor" Feb 3, 2013, files were sent to Manila (Canadian Embassy) on Jan 21, 2013 .

still no news :(

Click the "Magic Rooster" tab on the bottom left and it will give you an idea of who's due a PPR.

So my wife got a request for appendix a today :D things are moving along I see. A few questions. How long until the COPR comes in the mail? Also they had an appendix b attached specifying photo requirements but didn't specifically request them (just said appendix a). Should we send in new photos just as a precaution?
That's the equivalent of your PPR! They often have that attachment with the Appendix A but no request for photos. Most people just send a few in to be sure, but you probably don't need to since they didn't request it.

You should hear something soon... You can add your timeline to the spreadsheet if you would like. Scos is the gatekeeper of the spreadsheet

On ours, it says, "Group name: FC – PRI- 3a – Straightforward – For Officer Review/Waiver Confirmation". So they indeed put people in groups, and process it accordingly, hence the different timelines.

Mine says:

Group Name - FC - PRI - 4c

I think the last number dash-c is the amount of people in the undertaking including yourself.

I was thinking it was just a subcategory, I don't know.Lol mine says 3a but we have no dependent.
