just think I been trying to get my wife here for 18 months at 465/month I missed out on about 9000 dolllars,,,the 1190 I paid doesn't come close to that

I have my 14 y/o son coming with me but my husband's income is high and he's my son with my late husband, how about that, will he be entitled for any of that? He is in 4rd yr high school now...I have no idea as to that gov't assistance if you call it that way?

Thanks...

I think the benefit goes until they are 18 but how much you get depends on how much you make.

You mean me not his step father? But I won't work or be employed when I get there I will just help my husband with his business. How will that be? Will my son still qualify? Where do they give that to them directly in ATM card or to the parent?

What do I need to do when we come up there? Do I need to submit anything? To whom do they it to my son or to his ATM card?

It called the child tax benefit. It is a refund based on the income tax you would have paid in the previous year.

Welcome to Manila Madness. The Embassy that processes all applications in the Pacific Rim through one under-staffed office.

Since you won't get a PPR you should send an email to manil-immigration @ international.gc.ca and inquire. Don't forget to include your full name, date of birth and file #. Mention that other applicants who applied after you did have already been issued visas.

Thank you for your advice, CanadianJeepGuy! :)
I also found a different email address that starts with "manila-im-enquiry" on the website of Manila office. Should I send to this one or that "MANIL.IMMIGRATION" one? I will mention those things you told me and that medical is expiring soon in the email!

You can try both. What would be the harm? Have you ordered your GCMS notes?
If you get no answer in a few weeks your Canadian sponsor should contact their Member of Parliament and ask them to follow up.

Ganbatte kudasai!!

Greed for money.. I wonder what was your real purpose in coming to canada .. Is it really to unite the family or used the canadian to get a better living.. No offense but thats how i see it on your question .. And im sorry for being straight forward ..
