Oh, I never thought about that. I hope they don't take the whole week off.

I saw that you were looking for a scanner in Davao City. We live here in Davao City and have a scanner in our home that your partner would be welcome to use. Just private msg me.

Hi guys, question. Just got my SA this morning. Just wondering if it's a good idea to forward additional docs to CEM once our file has been transfered.
My husband's NBI was issued Oct 2012 and we filed our app Feb 2012, so it's pass 3months. We did not know about the 3-months rule until after we submitted our app, as we thought NBI clearance is good for a year.
Also, we did not send AOM but CENOMAR instead.

Do you think it's better to send it to them and use our file and UCI number to match the docs or just wait for them to ask?
I'm just worried it may delay the processing if we wait for the doc transfer.

Any advise?

Congrats on the Sponsor approval!
You could send them now.. but who knows what else they will request in the future. Personally I would probably send them because I'm a worry wart. But they could still request more, causing the same delay anyways.

Hi Iay, I would suggest to wait for CE-M to ask you these documents, they will ask you these docs anyways when you receive your Passport Request. Please remember that when your file was transferred to CE-M, your spouse or the principal applicant will have his/her own UCI and Application Number. Just prepare everything so when they ask you to send these docs, you are ready.

Thanks Steph and Gaia.
I realized from gaia that my husband will have his own UCI number and we don't have it yet. My UCI and file number might not be able to match his documents and the ones coming in anyway. But yea steph, i'm the ulitimate paranoid that's why I'm too eager to send them. Lol.

Didn't they send the file number in your SA letter? That's where I got mine from.

It's the same UCI and File number from the AOR. Is my husband getting a different UCI?

I don't see how those numbers would change during the process. Can you log into ecas using your husband's info and the file #?

Why, is it the same as your file # from your original application (I'm just assuming you immigrated to Canada at one point)

That was the first time I got the file number as I had no previous immigration dealings. I read somewhere that if you had a previous UCI number it stays the same.

From the sponsorship approval, you get a File number, that belongs to the application in CPC - mississauga but stays with it when transferred to the Vo... the UCI you get from the sponsorship approval is the Sponsor's UCI - the applicant's UCI is given by the VO, if you get communication from the VO... for me I didn't know my UCI until I got my COPR in the mail, because my VO (London) doesn't communicate with applicants to let them know that they have received the application etc.
But - if you want to communicate with your VO, as long as you clearly state the sponsor UCI + File number (that you get from the sponsor approval), then they'll be able to match the documents - I sent extra documents in (without being asked for it, I was missing some Police Certificate from my original application), and it wasn't a problem.
Good luck,
Sweden!

PS: I also predict a PPR for Steph C :-) fingers crossed!

Hubby got his visa today.. Cem received his ppr feb18, then feb21 went in process. Feb28 got dm, only 14 days in total since ppr to visa received. For those who are still waiting, just hang in there. Goodluck everyone!! Praying you get yours too..soon!! :)

Thanks Sweden! Then I will be able to send more docs using my UCI and File Number. I'll just wait till my ECAS says oue file has been transfered to Manila.

Sweden, did they give you a confirmation that they received and matched the additional docs that you submitted?
