Hello Wella, I see that you applied on June 7 and received pp request on November 25, so your application was processed in 5 months. Any idea why the visa office in Makati processed your application so fast? Do you live in Typhoon affected area?

Hi O-guy. Yes wella was affected by typhoon haiyan.

Thanks for the answer on that. My wife's family was affected by smaller typhoon but not the big one that everyone talks about. Anyway, I wish for speedy application process for all of us.

CONGRATS

Hello - my mom just applied today for a visit visa and she received a passport request right away. I know she has to send it in Manila or Cebu, but what I'm confused about is - will she have to pay for the passport to be returned to her? Does she need to attach cash or cheque? Or can she just buy a prepaid postage? Does the embassy use 2go or LBC or other courier?

Also, if they asked for her passport, does that mean she's approved?

They sent ours COD (cash on delivery), I think it was LBC. Somehow we knew we had to have 450P ready for the courier when they arrived.

Congrats! And welcome to Narnia to your wife! Now you will have to bring her by for Tea :) $$$$
She will have to land by her medical expiration date.. a year from the last medical although sometimes they don't have that exactly correct in their files, some were a few weeks later.
Thanks Ms. Steph :)
She did her medical in mid March so we're not quite sure about the magic date..
She's pretty excited about seeing snow..wants to build a snowman :D
She's flying April 2 and " lands" at YVR..then AC back east here..
Thanks for the invite..we'll take you up on it..Just don't know when..

Hi everyone, just would like to ask some questions, though still waiting for some replies in the "Taglish" thread.

1. Who will be looking into the PDOS sticker? Is it the Immigration Officer in the Philippines?
2. Does the Airport Officer in Canada would be looking for it when you land?
3. If you have a connecting flight (Bangkok-Manila-Canada), I bet you don't need to pass by the Immigration Officer in Manila, right?

I'm a bit panicky here as I never attended the PDOS seminar as I am not staying in the Philippines. It says "Pre-departure Orientation Seminar" but I already departed years ago... ;D
