Hi again..need help again
in the declaration card,checkbox part,in the 3rd sentence,it says

im aware that im bringing meat/meat products,nuts,fruits,animal/animal products etc...

Question is,do i have to check YES,coz ill be bringing dried mangoes,roasted nuts and dried squids..

My wife landed wearing her two rings (engagement and wedding) and with two suitcases full of clothes. She filled out no such additional forms and had no difficulty with that. At least one other poster said that they seem only concerned when you are going to have "boxes" of goods arriving at a later date, if it's all with you, they don't care.

I know your allowed to bring the dried fish,,,but there is no question on fish

After all the craziness of the strike, then yolanda that playfully took people close to our hearts and almost everything we own, I am finally seeing the husband in 3days it's just so painful leaving with my family sleeping in the ruins of our house and my hometown in shambles...on the other hand, it is a consolation that the international community including Canada is extending their help to us so we can stand on our own 2 feet again.

3 days after the typhoon, my father and my brother traveled for 2 hours to call the CEM and tell people we're alive. I wanted to tell CEM not to send my passport( since i was DM a week before the typhoon). I was told by a Filipina call agent that they don't have information about my visa or my passport and that I need to e-mail the visa center...i snapped at her and almost told her she was an imbecile. there was no electricity in the entire leyte and Samar, how much more internet connection. After realizing her stupidity, she passed me on to a VO who was the exact opposite of the agent. She was so nice and even asked me if I were in a safe place and try to calm down. When I went to the CEM to get my passport, she gave me a hug. With tearful eyes she wished me and my family well. All of my hatred against the VOs for delaying the visas because of their strike vanished.....SO yeah, yelling works sometimes.

Just saw your post. My Mother inlaw went through it all while she was in tacloban during typhoon yolanda.. now.. they lost their house and most of the family has now moved to cebu (where my wife lives). i'd do anything to get my wife here.. so at least me and her can work together and help out the fam... Just saw your post. My Mother inlaw went through it all while she was in tacloban during typhoon yolanda.. now.. they lost their house and most of the family has now moved to cebu (where my wife lives). i'd do anything to get my wife here.. so at least me and her can work together and help out the fam... (wish you all the best Cranberries )

thanks ikon...i suggest that you or your wife call the CEM and tell them of the real situation. some parts of Cebu was also affected by the typhoon. the agents answering the call have canned responses. I used to be a call agent and our goal was to end the call asap. i know it sounds stupid but that's how it is. if you don't stand your ground you will just be given the responses they tell everyone.

question guys, i got my visa yester and im just curious, my application is sponsored by my husband who is a canadian citizen, what seminar will i attend? is it PDOS or that guidance and seminar? and one more thing, ill be going to toronto, if going to a US route needs a US visa, what route po ba will i take to countries without visa. can i excempt PAL and cathay.

if your husband is Canadian you should get the CFO guidance seminar...there are flights in PAL that goes from manila to vancouver then toronto and they are cheap... good luck.

hi ikon, CEM would surely respond in less than 17 days reckoning from the date of submission of passport or from the date of email. God bless.
