Regarding medicals, my husband did his on October 2, and then we had a long, drawn-out battle with his ex-wife to let us get his daughter included on his application form and get a medical done for her. With all the back and forth and yes and no, we finally got the application sent out on March 5, without his daughter being included on the application. So almost 5 months of wasted time because of that. Anyway, we are heading to Canada in 5 weeks and my husband will wait out his PR there while I'm working. I'm just hoping he won't be bored out of his mind and can find stuff to do to keep him busy while we're waiting. His medical will expire on October 2 and we'll have to get another one done in Canada, but either way, we'd still end up having to get it redone if we stayed in Korea to wait, too. I realize that this isn't a luxury that many of you have, because of visa exempt status and such, so I really have no basis to complain about anything.
That being said, congratulations to everyone who is moving forward in the process after such a long time waiting!
