Truly fooked situation to say the least.Blackbriar56 said:Hmm, here's the long and short of it:
My application papers were submitted by my wife (Sponsor) back in December of 2011. In March 2012, she paid the RPRF and the landing fee but she missed an amount of around CAD 66.00 which she settles in September 2012. In June or July 2012, my papers were returned because it didn't have my medical result with it, and how could I have known when to do that if they didn't notify me by mail? So come August 2012, I had it and by October 2012 my wife resubmitted my papers. April 13, 2013 was the first time I ever received an email from the embassy (Manila), requesting for my passport, receipt of my RPRF, and my NSO papers. Then on May 6, 2013, the Visa office called requesting for another copy of the RPRF+Landing fee separately and consequently an update on my personal history from May 2010 to May 2013. I told the lady representative we have only one receipt for the fees because my wife paid it in one shot. I called my wife and had her contact our MP to tell CPC-M about this and CPC-M emailed the embassy here that there's no need for us to submit separate receipts. The next day I went to the embassy and submitted the update. Here's where it started to upset me. On June 6, 2013 the embassy sent another email for me to attend their COA! BUT WHERE'S MY PASSPORT? I didn't do anything till July 1, 2013 when I decided to try and request a date for that orientation and found out that I can present a photocopy of my passport and other stuff when they answered my request. And finally yesterday my wife forwarded the MP's email instructing me to AGAIN submit an update on my personal history from May 2011 to Present! Well that really ticked me off and that made me send an email directly to the MP (Which I learned later on that I wasn't allowed to do). This is what I said:
Dear Hon. _____________,
I hope you can forgive me for not even greeting you in this letter for I am greatly distressed by this news that I have to send yet another update on my personal history which, if my wife has failed to notify you, I have already accomplished last 7th of May, 2013. The coverage of that update is from 2010 of May to 2013 of May. On the 6th of June 2013, the embassy notified me ( Please see attachment for details) to attend the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar though I have not received my passport/visa.
If I remembered correctly, the application process at that point is for the embassy to return my passport/visa to my possession prior to attending any seminar. I find this very disturbing because the way I see it, someone within the embassy here in the Philippines just broke that process causing us much inconvenience and delay. With that in mind, I surfed the net for similar stories and cases like mine and what they did to resolve the issue and from there I found the answer. The only thing left to do from my end is (See attachment for details) to secure a schedule for the seminar and present the necessary requirements. Once I have attended the seminar, the embassy would return my passport/visa and then finally, attend a similar seminar required by the Commission on Filipinos Overseas.
Now, if this is not the way to get this issue resolved, please don't hesitate to point me in the right direction. But as for sending another update, I'm not going to do that if it'll add another long processing time (45 days right?) on top of the time that has already elapsed since I updated my personal history which may cause my visa to expire and ultimately send me back to square one of the application process.
Sincerely,
______________
That's all folks.
I cant understand the MP requesting the updated history it has to come from CEM,,,,,i would imagine they haven't reviewed it and your MP misunderstood,,,,,,,my MP fooked up in January saying yes they were waiting for the AOM that we had thought we needed to send and had told the MP we had just sent it 4 she called them,,,,but actually CEM was waiting for a different documentation that my \MP did not tell us aboutBlackbriar56 said:I didn't know about such initial meds either so no I didn't have one. I guess my wife didn't know as well because if she did, she would've told me then.
COA is different. But I need both.Tagum-N.B. said:is that the same one that is reqd by Philippines so you are allowed to leave phils on a plane,,,CFO commission Filipino overseas,,,,,you will be required this not through the visa but you need it to leave the airport
The MP will get the info that may be days to weeks old. That isn't really their fault but it does make them look stupid.Tagum-N.B. said:I cant understand the MP requesting the updated history it has to come from CEM,,,,,i would imagine they haven't reviewed it and your MP misunderstood,,,,,,,my MP fooked up in January saying yes they were waiting for the AOM that we had thought we needed to send and had told the MP we had just sent it 4 she called them,,,,but actually CEM was waiting for a different documentation that my \MP did not tell us about
I see you knw all about the other seminar,,,,,,,,but I really don't think you require to redo the appendix A with personal history requested by the MP,,,,,an email from CEM should of come for thatBlackbriar56 said:COA is different. But I need both.
I can only assume that the MP probably received some information about my application status from CEM and possibly told that another update was needed to finalize the review on my application.Tagum-N.B. said:I cant understand the MP requesting the updated history it has to come from CEM,,,,,i would imagine they haven't reviewed it and your MP misunderstood,,,,,,,my MP fooked up in January saying yes they were waiting for the AOM that we had thought we needed to send and had told the MP we had just sent it 4 she called them,,,,but actually CEM was waiting for a different documentation that my \MP did not tell us about
Yes I think that's a fook up by the MP getting info from Ottawa and the gcms notes that are slightly behind,,,,the MP fooked me up in jan and didn't get the correct info,,,,if she did I would be 2 months ahead,,,,god dam I mite even be getting some head rite nowCanadianJeepGuy said:The MP will get the info that may be days to weeks old. They don't need to wait the 45 days to complete it. They didn't for our application.Blackbriar56 said:I can only assume that the MP probably received some information about my application status from CEM and possibly told that another update was needed to finalize the review on my application.
no not if you just completed one up to May,,,,that is well and sufficientBlackbriar56 said:I can only assume that the MP probably received some information about my application status from CEM and possibly told that another update was needed to finalize the review on my application.
Unfortunately my wife doesn't have a good command of the english language. I should probably ask someone to assist her then.CanadianJeepGuy said:Truly fooked situation to say the least.
Unfortunately your wife was acting as your representative and didn't do her due diligence. While I applaud your email to the MP you are not really in a position to give the government ultimatums however well written they were. Your wife should have submitted it on your behalf.
I think you have done all you can. You wife should at this point send CIC an email outlining your story and tell them to either complete the process or decline it so you can move forward with the appeal. Any further delays are mean spirited and unbecoming a government service.
