Hi seniors, the medicals of the children according to St Lukes will be sent to Manila VO. My VO is London. They said, Manila will send it to London. But do we need to request Manila?

Does anybody have same situation here? I am currently in Bahrain. Tnx

Don't think you will find to many people in this situation. But I would email Manila VO and cc London VO with an explaination.

Just contacted MP,,,,,they said they contacted CEM june27 and reply was,,,, 8) 8) POSITIVE ENTITLEMENT 8) 8) ,,,,,request for new NBI andi,,,,, REMED will be made,,,,,,,,,why haven't we got it that's almost 2 weeks ago

That is referring to new applications (notice they mention the VAC, that isn't us). My wife told me there are 4 different boxes there each for different types of documents. The one you want is the family class one. The others are for tourist visas, OFW, etc.

That plus another member of this forum said that when they were about to drop it off, the guard there said that it's better to send it through courier.

Oh well...

Sorry for me mini rant without explaining....I was so mad I had a me day without anymore internet except to talk to my wife. Here's what happened...My wife got a call from CEM Monday morning asking for a status update for my one daughter. My wife was not sure what they want so she asked them to email us what they wanted...here's what they sent.

Dear Ms. XXXXXXXX,



Please provide us with the status of the application for Canadian citizenship of your eldest child. Please be advised also that your youngest child may apply for short term Canadian passport. Information on this may be obtained from our Consular Section. Contact information for the Consular Section is as follows:

What bugged me is we did everything they wanted in May for the youngest daughter. They told me here in Canada and at CEM to send in the passport with the rest. What really bugged me was when I called CIC for my daughters status update, they told in that it's "In Process" in MANILA!! Why can't they see that before they call me wife and slow down the approvals even more? Then CIC tells me to buy all the return tickets so it will help get the Short Term Canadian Passport....so I reply that I can't without my wife and other daughters passports. Being under 2, each kid's ticket needs an adult ticket. I also don't like how they imply that her medicals are going to expire like we have been holding up the process. The medicals were done 15 days before we applied last year.

Normally I would be grateful for some response, but the continuous run around just set me off. I can't hear CIC say one more time that they don't know how CEM operates! And yes, I contacted my MP, but they are just as useless. They were very helpful though by telling me that there is a strike going on though....that was nice of them since I was the one who brought it to their attention 3 weeks ago! Idiots!

CEM returned her passport with her visa, and ask that they apply for their daughter's citizenship. Did they not inform you about your wife's visa being ready?

Nothing yet....if it happens this week I am fine with it since I will have time to go over and do the Short Term Passports. We have already do both Canadian Citizenship applications. Worst case is I have to go over for another 2 weeks to apply and wait for the passports for my girls. I was hoping the next trip would be my last and only a 4 day trip.

Had to come up for air.

So my wife's landing in Vancouver was painless. She said that 90% of her PAL flight was Filipino families all landing. Her interview was 3 questions: What is your purpose for visiting Canada today? What is the address in Canada you will be staying at and how did you meet your husband? C'est toute.....that's it.

Flight from Vancouver to Winnipeg was nothing and all the people waiting at the terminal were Filipinos....just me and another guy about my age were the only white guys there. ;D ;D

A very happy reunion and the 8 months since we last were together are just a distant memory. I go back to work tomorrow which sucks but she needs to get herself moved into the house and she will want to change stuff around and I would only be in her way for that.

Now the adventure truly begins.

Really glad to hear your wife finally landed CanadianJeepGuy. Congrats to you both!!
Merlyn landed in Toronto Jan. 20th and I haven't been on here much since. Things are going well, ... and all of the frustrations we encountered in what was consider way too long of a waiting period are also distant memories.
Best of luck to you both as you move forward as family now, .. and also a very special thanks to all on this forum who gave such positive advice and support as Merlyn and I went through our wait time. 8)

My MP has notified me that they inquired about our application on June 27,2013, and were told a request for a remed and NBI certificate will be issued by email. Approx 2 weeks have gone by and there is no sign of this request,,,in the past due to poor postal service one letter took over 48 days to reach us, an email was sent on Aug 1,2012 asking for information, we did not receive this notification until Feb 23 ,2013. Our application is one of the oldest spousal applications in your office, it has been there since March 20,2012. We are concerned again there is problems in the movement of communications, if this is not the problem could you please tell us when the request will be issued as we have been waiting over 16 months now. Thank you in advance to your response.
