Clicked on the PAL site and got a pop up message that says they are cancelling flights to and from Davao due to a Cebu Pacific Airlines flight overshooting the runway at Davao Airport.

To handle the passengers they are switching to wide body aircraft for its General Santos-Manila flights.

Apparently Davao will reopen tonight at 8pm (so presumably is has already reopened) and PAL flights will resume from there.

It was closed on Sunday June 2nd at 7pm. It affected 9 PAL flights due to the runway being obstructed.

That's what I was wondering. He may have had to go to General Santos for one of the re-routed flights. If so the spirits are truly making things difficult...

But at least her flight is all booked as 1 flight,,,,,,would of been scary if davao to mnl was separate from international flight,,,,i think the fery ride is 3 or 4 days long dva-mnl

i remember landing in Butuan in the rain,,,,it took 3 passes b4 we landed,,,,,,,what an ovation as we taxied the runway,,,,,,,,they only have 2 flights a day at that airport

i think for my anniversary sept2 I will fly to Gensan have my wife take the 3 hour bus trip to meet me,,,,,,ive heard a lot about that city but never got there,,,,,,,,,no sensce counting on my visa to come in b4 then,,,,make hay while the sunshines

I just called Cathay and inquired about the first time immigrant fare thing. I was quoted 38k+ pesos plus $20 service fee for Manila-Toronto, you'll have to go to their office in Makati to avail. Not much of a difference from the one I got directly from their website

I am not actually surprised by this. Looks like I will look for myself or use Tagum Travel Enterprises when the time comes
