I agree that the last thing we needed was yet another sheet. When I added all the other data to the existing sheet I was trying to remedy the problem with so many sheets without adding yet another. This new sheet is just a slightly reformatted version of what the other sheet was going to be (just needed the stats). I had assumed the new data would be welcomed. The owner of the sheet apparently didn't agree and removed all my work (which is fine as they are the rightful owner). So I won't waste my time trying to update that sheet again (I will leave that to it's rightful owner).

After the data was removed I was intending to just use my downloaded copy for myself. But decided that since I am maintaining it anyway why not make it available to all? We could still get everything into one place for easy viewing and editing. Periodically checking and updating one sheet isn't too hard (especially if people help by managing their own info). But I don't have the time or inclination to make any changes to the other sheet.

I just joined the Manila timeline spreadsheet. What a good resource. :)

Hey guys, am just not in the mood to research another government site . . . Does anyone know, may a Philippine National travel to the U.S. with Canadian PR? I'm not expecting so, just asking.

They still have to get a visa. I'm not sure if you have to apply in advance or get one at the border. If the Philippine national is on their way to Canada to 'land' they can't fly via the US without a C1D visa.

Was thinking of "vacation" . . . oh well . . .

I don't think it's that big a deal to get one. Some friends of mine, Filipinos off the cruise ship with no visa for Canada, went to the US embassy in Vancouver one day and all got 10 year multiple entry visas. My guy is really upset with himself that he didn't go that day.. at least we could have had a vacation in the US while waiting.

oh I see, it's "not a big deal" to get one if you are Canadian PR (if I understand you now)

It wasn't a big deal for these guys either, and they were just ashore on a seafarer's pass. I think there's a huge difference applying within Canada as opposed to applying in the Philippines.

ok thanks, I'll research further . . . I seem to recall an online form, $140 fee, must know dates of travel etc, etc,

>heartglee, we didn't receive AOR, just a mail of his eligibility. i really understand how stressful it is seeing many december applicants are approved. i hope you can receive by friday!

>CJG, as we are in winnipeg too, technically i can, but with too many unlucky canadian experiences, i am not in. sorry.

as i am in canada with him because of his new job, i need my status so that i can be covered by insurance. in MB, they cover student and work permit holders family but not canadian citizens family until we become resident. i wish i could send a memo saying "do you think i marry him to live in winnipeg leaving everything i had in tokyo?" instead of proof of relationship. :D

LOL. Some of us have had some setbacks so it is becoming routine to see those who applied after you get their spouses' PR's.

You must really love him if you followed him here. -32C and falling.....

thanks for your kind words.

also, we sent our application to the address below via UPS (courier):

2 Robert Speck Parkway, Suite 1200
Mississauga, Ontario
L4Z 1H8

can anyone please let me know if the destination above is correct? just wanted to be sure we got it right. thanks!
That's the right address for courier, which UPS is. Didn't they give you a tracking number?

they did - the tracking info says it was received. it just seems to be taking longer for November batch to get updates for stage 1 unlike applicants from the neighboring months. at least now we're assured we got the right address at least. lots of thanks for your reply!

Note that the CFO seminar is only half day and scheduled on different day for spouses of Canadian citizens. So to avoid delays make sure you check for the right one.
Only since this was never "clear" to me until recently . . . "PDOS" is the name of the seminar (for us anyway) and "CFO" is the name of the PLACE where you go to attend it. The one at 1345 CitiGold Center is Tuesday and Friday mornings for spouses of Canadian citizens, (or PR I'd assume too).
