That's approximately 8/day? I wonder how many officers they have?

I'm curious to see how the re-meds are being done, from the data, roughly month and a half from re-med to decision made (of course that depends on the actual medical date)

Based on that, users than should expect some activity are:
april20
spmorty
joreen
comarxx
simatar
NestleAducal

Mind you, some of the above also have additional docs requested that could be holding things up.

Also, We should be due for GCMS this week, as we applied on Apr. 10, as well as an email to cem medical processing department on Wednesday to maybe offer a nudge.

Cheers!
We applied May 7, so are really due now.

Here's an idea. Maybe they have 2 extra officers who work Thursday-Monday and cover the weekend shift.

That's based on the remedical date.....I know your way past due.....but the results still need to get to cem, and the still need 2 weeks from then to issue visa....based on trending data

But I wonder what their complement would be? 20 officers? 10?

Last I read it was something like 6 or 8 VO's....

I can't find these links since the CIC website re-do

But the spreadsheet for all VO's which can be filtered....and also the employees per VO and there roles used to be on there.

That's how I determined my sickness from the cost of an application, multiplied by 2300, minus generous CAD salary, minus generous overhead...... then there was this huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge remainder!

I'm ok with the cost so long as I only pay for stuff once and I get processed from start to finish in 6 months or less.

As for 6 or 8 officers is ridiculous. At their minimum they can process 1 application per day. WTF!!!

I think....again from memory.....there were other employees, that I logically determined for application correspondence...getting backgrounds...sending emails....etc.

I don't mind the cost either....but the cost compared to staff does not meet the supply and demand.....therefore there is some serious pocket lining going on, at the expense of broken families waiting in turmoil!

Anyways, just thinking of the Medical times - a month and 2 weeks would exactly meet their deadline of 45 days. It must be a bring forward date when they will check at that time.

So we've got our request in to the MP - hopefully push that bring forward date sooner a bit! :D If we can get a DM this week or next, that's proof that complaining works 8)

I'm curious as well Steph......also curious when you get you GCMS.

I'll be emailing the medical department of cem on Wednesday to hopefully create a push as well.

Cheers!

Agree completely. They need to double their compliment just to hope to meet the 6 month mark.

Just checked on airfare. Its going to cost me about $3000 to go and pick her up via Air Canada/Air Philippines.

Sounds about right.....I won't be flying with wifey...it's her turn (hehe), So we're looking at approx $1500

I considered that option as it would only cost $1200 but I would like to be able to see her through CBSA as Vancouver will be her point of landing. Its also one of those moments I don't want to miss. Her first impressions will be Vancouver Airport which is really a great looking Airport. Much better than Pearson in Toronto and of course Winnipeg's new Richardson Airport. I just don't want to miss those moments.

I have just emailed my MP, CEM's Unit Manager and the Minister's office informing them of my wife's completion of her re-med and receipt of PPR. Maybe that will save a few days of the bring forward date. If not it will bug the fook out of them.
