I doubt they flag it for how easy it is. In stage 1 mine went past the already long wait time so I got to call them about it (it was sent to Ottawa). I was told it hadn't been opened yet. A a couple of days later I got the sponsor approval.

There shouldn't be a lot of red flags on my app for stage 2. I knew my wife for years before we started a relationship, and were in a relationship for years before we married, and our app was sent a couple of years after that (though that was due to various complications like self employment, delays in paperwork, etc). Plus I included a lot of letters from family and friends about the relationship. So if they were flagging them, mine should have been flagged as being fairly simple. The ONLY outstanding item is the expired medical. The fact we haven't received the re-medical request leads me to believe it is sitting unopened in CEM. Another possibility from what I have read of some other experiences with apps that went through Ottawa is that maybe they lost parts of it so they have shelved it for now.

As for the spreadsheet, I can move the purple fields to right after the sponsor approval fields which might make it look a little neater. And I can add a type right after the user name but getting the data will be tricky as not everybody specifies it.

I guess it would make sense if the purple fields were one step to the right. It would make even more sense if the remedical field was after In Process and before DM.. based on the old data but who knows what's happening now.
It seems like they just haven't opened your application yet. Maybe they are fast tracking some as they arrive now.

I don't think they flag them. That would involve opening every single application and reviewing it before picking the ones that are the easiest. Mine was easy until the meds expired.

My wife gets hers done on thurseday then we'll see what happens next. I'm hoping they just pump out the rest of the April/May. If not then are we doomed to get set aside for the influx of FSW applications?

It's cool that we are all on the same medical timeline so we can see what pattern that will follow. I'm pretty sure it's a month and a half from re-meds to DM.

I added a Type (Married/Conjugal/Common/Child) field so fill what you know. Also I moved all the purples to between Stage 1 and Stage 2. Since the way they process seems all over the place I figured this would not clutter things up too much. So if the purple date is latest then the entry is purple, otherwise it is the color of the stage they are in.

Let me know what you think.

Maybe when we get enough Type info I can add another sheet with times based on that.

I find it a bit ironic how CIC plays games of leap frog.. late April and most of May applicants get skipped by June, July and August in stage 1.. My April application, nothing wrong with it, got shelved while they processed up to August. Now July and August get skipped by later applicants in stage 2.. June seems to be the lucky month. Nobody deserves to be skipped over, but it's a bit ironic that the months that skipped over my application are now the ones being skipped over.. and for them it's crying time :'(
Oh well.. we are all still well within processing times. Except for Tagum. They should really sort his application out. I get the feeling that most of us who participate on this thread will be seeing big movement on our files in the next month.
oh well, CIC works in mysterious way...ahaha ;)
i remember my wife was the last one for july to get approved to sponsor, it took us 100 days from application to SA. even august and september applicants were approved to sponsor ahead of us.
visa will come, all we need to do is more patience.

It's okay.. my guy is used to it. We spent time in Antartica and Greenland ::) Maybe he will complain of the cold still. Is this the first time you traveled outside of Asia? There will be a lot of firsts if so :D
