Within 6 months from receipt of a completed application from the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (Canada)....

I am confused as to what the Canadian Website in Canada and the Web site in the Philippines are saying about processing time. Do they mean 6 months from receipt of a completed application from the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga ( Canada ) or receipt of completed application at the Canadian Embassy in the Philippines ?

The keyword is "from" the CPC in Mississauga (CPC-M). The day that the application is received in the Philippines is the same day that it is received from CPC-M.

You send it to CPC-M. When they are done with it, it is forwarded on to Manila. The day that is arrives in Manila is when the 6 months (or whatever time) starts. Six months is the target or goal for all outland processing, but some cases take longer, in some cases much longer, depending on what is involved in each case.

My understanding is my application starts from the time CPC-M received, from that the days and months is already running until 6months, that's my understanding to the website of Canada Embassy - Philippines
saying that :

Spouses/Common-law Partners/Dependant Children

Within 6 months from receipt of a completed application from the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (Canada).

Please be aware that processing delays may occur if further medical examination, an interview or additional documents are required.

my application was received last March 2010 I should have answer this month as they say from the time CPC-M received our application package from Mississauga if their is no documents, interview or medical examination needed.

No, I'm quite sure that it's from the time that Manila receives it from Mississauga. I wish I could say that it's otherwise, but I can't say that I agree. The fact that it says from Mississauga makes it quite clear that they are talking about the time after it leaves Mississauga.

I completely agree with Beshoo.

OIC ok 2 heads better than 1 ;):P

Hi guys whats new on ur application post ur updates

I have received letter from the Immigration Section of Manila Embassy last friday sept 17. asking me to send may original passport and cenomar. They have only given me 45 days to send my passport and by the time I received the letter from them I only had some 27 days. I had my green passport but they asking me the new cred-colored passport with the machine readable passport requirement of the International Civil Aviation Organization. But due to the new DFA policy of making appointment to have my passport renew i was schedule for the personal appearance on the 15 which is which is already my 45 days deadline. Can i just submit my green passport or letter them and ask for extension? any help? Thank you and God bless.

kefert u shoud expect already that red passport will be ask, sana ready ka na ngayon to send but anyway try mo parin maka kuwa ng red passport pa rush mo nalang . hope u make it well ill pray for u.

I would send it in with a letter explaining, and still apply for the new one

Best Regards.

Be careful about sending the Canadian Embassy your green one because my partner had to hand in her green passport to get her red passport, and then after they returned both to her with the green one having been hole-punched. Maybe send them a letter explaining that you are getting your red passport as soon as possible and as soon as you get it you will be forwarding it to them. Give them information as to what date you applied to get your red passport etc. The more information and precision you can give them the better.

Best of luck!
