Did you receive your CAIPS notes? What does it says?
Lagpas na kayo sa processing time... They should have contacted you already..
Nauna pa application nyo sa amin... kami Feb 2011 pinasa.. Inabot ng 1yr and 14 days... bago namin na receive yung VISA..

Nope we just ordered it 2 weeks ago, we filled Sept 2, 2011 6 months pa lang naman. Pero nakakafrustrate na wala man lang kaming balita since dec 27 when i sent out our passport.

hi Emrn,

Thanks for your reply. Why did you request for CAIPS? Can we see it thru CAIPS an update of our application?
Naka kainggit nga, yung mga spousal applications, approved na kadalasan within 3 to 4 months. Sa atin, parang it takes 1 year to get an approval.

Hi Raniloc,

Why did it take more than a year for your visa approval? Was there a problem with your application, I mean (incomplete docs, request for additional proofs etc), or it was just the standard timeline? Parang matagal talaga yung 1 year din. But glad that you were not called for an interview.

Thanks.

Yup kasi yung CAIPS is more detailed eh dun nglalagay ng mga notes yung mga VO na nagcheck ng file natin. Oo nga 6 months nako nghihintay sobrang miss na miss ka na booboo ko. :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hi Emrn,

So, may nakita ka bang useful updates doon sa CAIPS mo? Or is your CAIPS still on request process.

Thanks.

Actually, CAIPS is replaced already by GCMS.. You can check the link in my profile to see the sample GCMS.. It is more detailed than CAIPS as you can see the notes/comments of the VO about your application. You will also know the status of your application whats is pending and currently being done.

In our case it took a year to process our application as the VO requested as additional documents that will show hard evidence or proof that my sponsor will return to Canada once the visa is approve. You see, my sponsor is here in Manila and we're living together here for 5 years now.
The VO is hesitant to grant the visa since there are many cases similar with ours where the sponsor did not return to Canada when the VISA is granted. The VO wants to ensure that the relationship is genuine and not fraudulent.

Thank God!! In our case, we're able to convince the VO considering we're in a common-law relationship. They did not ask for an interview since it is very obvious that me and my sponsor is still living together... And also the photos we submitted shows me and my sponsor is continually living together for 5 years now..

hi guys,

Anybody home?

I hope we can share our experiences here for this application class. It is different to join the spousal immigration forum because the applicants there have different timelines than ours.

Anybody applying for conjugal, please post your stories so that we can share our ideas. By then, we can help one another in going thru the process.

Thanx mucho...

Anybody home?

PR sa Canada ang partner ko for a year now and gusto sana namin mag-apply through conjugal application. Medyo naguguluhan lang kami sa case namin. Best friends kami since early college and even lived together (shared an apartment) for 3 years before due to proximity sa work areas namin. We didn't realize that we were feeling something towards each other na pala as more than best friends. We didn't entertain the thought as we didn't want to ruin our friendship, so we contained our feelings to ourselves. Before my partner (now) left for Canada, that was the time we realized we can't live without each other and took our friendship to the next level. We are official for more than a year now.

My questions are:

1. Can we apply through conjugal application based sa history ng relationship namin?
2. What do we need to present as evidences na we are a legit couple and what are the chances of us getting approved under this circumstance?
3. I'm just thinking about yung time na nag-live in kami before when we were still best friends and hindi pa talaga official yung relationship namin, ma-consider ba yun as common-law relationship? Parang medyo complicated yung case namin.

I hope may makapag-advice sakin on what to do kasi we really want to be together na kaya gusto na namin mag-apply soon. Thanks sa lahat ng makakasagot.
