Dear Friends,
I just wanted to know is it mandatory to travel to Canada to keep PR alive in the very first year the VISA is granted. I wish to travel to Canada after an year or so the VISA is granted. If yes, then can I just visit Canada for a week and come back so that FSW still remains valid?

Thanks in Advance.

DEAR SIR;

please take care , you MUST land in Canada after issue your visa , it MUST NOT be later than one year after the date you have done your Medical so don't
care about Visa Issue Date JUST & JUST care about your Medical Expiry Date(one year from the date you have done it ) or your passport Expiry Date , each one is sooner.

CARE don't miss your visa.

I found the following sites, hope you find it useful and informative..

You have to stay 2 out of 5 years to keep PR status. Also you need to give Canada address to receive your PR card during your PR landing.
