hi, from what i understand i need to pay 1040 in the following way:
Fee payment for Canadian sponsors residing outside of Canada

Canadian citizens living abroad may submit a payment via internal bank draft or money order. However, in order to process your application, your fee payment must meet the following criteria:
· be payable to the Receiver General for Canada;
· be in Canadian funds
· be cashable through a Canadian financial institution;
· clearly indicate name, street address and account number of the financial institution in Canada where it may be cashed.
Note: Do not provide a post office box as anaddress.

what i don't understand- is do i send this payment with my application to missisauga? or do i have to take it to the embassy here in tel aviv?

Yes, you must include it in your application.

ok, thanks...i hope that's right, because i'm a little nervous to put it in the mail, but I guess that's the only option I have. When sending the package, I suppose I will put tracking on it, with insurance, just in case.

thanks

You should also be able to pay online, assuming you're doing a family class sponsorship. You just need to have a printer to print off your receipt, but even outland applications can be paid online with a credit card, if you feel more comfortable doing it that way.

OK, I've checked and I definitely can't pay online.

I have another question now:

What do I put on the bank note, aside from 'payable to the reciever general of canada'.?

What do they mean when they say the name and financial istitution?
"clearly indicate name, street address and account number of the financial institution in Canada where it may be cashed.
Note: Do not provide a post office box as anaddress"

Anyone know what to put here? I was at the bank and they also had no idea.

also says "◦Certified cheques, bank drafts and money orders issued by a bank located outside of Canada must clearly indicate the complete address and account number of the corresponding bank in Canada which will cash the instrument."

Print off the instructions and go to your financial institution. They'll know what to do from there :)
