i have received my trv on 24-december 2014 & i have arrived in canada on 26 december 2014 & got my study permit, but due to some issues i was not able to start my studies in jan intake & have been defer to may intake my question is would this create a problem while extending my visa & can i work full time now.

i can give them details that in my college the course that i was suppose to start the studies was full. would that help?

I dont think so that it would be a valid reason because you got your study permit on behalf of your offer letter that shows you have secured your seat already. Now giving them such a reason like classes were filled, would not be a great idea. Rather than, register yourself in any other full time program and attend classes. It is also mentioned in CiC website that student can't sit more than 3months if he is not registered in a full time program.

If the reason is due to classes being full, have you tried talking to your faculty advisor to see if they can manually add you into those classes?In some cases, school advisors are able to help.

It's not possible. School won't give you admission without realizing the total seats availability (specially if you are an international student). But it's a different matter when you "deliberately" avoid registration and make an excuse.

I agree with J5M. It is technically not possible for the institution to give you an acceptance letter when they know the seats are full. The school will do their best to assist you to fulfill the requirements as an international student (unless you registered to a bogus one, take-your-money-and-run kind). But since you got your student visa, your school must be legit.

I have had a uni-mate before during my university, he was from Fiji. His mindset is bent on working while on student visa so he would deliberately not register himself in classes. Is this what you have in mind?

listen bro in icm we need to register for courses online after getting our visa if we did it before & the visa was rejected then they will not refund my fees according to their policy i have got my visa on 26 december & i came here on 28 when i was about to register for course the course registaration was full so then where is my mistake.

go to ur adviser and they may make an exception and get ur registered......

alternatively go to the professor and tell him ur situation and ask him to make an exception ..they may increase number of seats....

Considering the seats were full so, there is nothing you can do at this stage. However, Contact immediately CIC and explain the situation why you can't enrol in Jan term. Provide CIC the written proof from college stating although you were not late to join the classes but still the place were full so you will gonna start school from May.

U are lucky that you got visa now just go there and don't waste time here by thinking worthless things once you arrive in canada you can manage all the things accordingly. Just explain your situation to your university and get enrollment in other course but i personally suggess you not to change university... just go there!!!!
