Dear Valuable Forum Members,
First of all, as a newcomer to this forum, I would like to express that it has been such a relief to find out about this forum, as the way I see it, this forum is not only a discussion portal, but also it is a place of peace and hope wherein such valuable people spend their best efforts to contribute to each other to achieve their objectives through the very same epic journey. I am truly and extremely hopeful that the dreams of everyone who have contributed to this family will eventually come true.
Although I am aware that the topic I am going to request for opinion has been discussed previously in numerous threads, for the purposes of ascertaining that I can submit the correct information without any misrepresentation, I kindly seek your valuable advice regarding work experience of me and my wife in the Express Entry profile.
The breakdown of my work experience is as follows:
2005 July – 2010 August: Worked under the title of “Civil Engineer”, but almost all of my duties and responsibilities are listed under NOC 1225 “purchasing agents and officers”.
2010 August – 2015 August: Worked under the title of “Business Development and Sales Manager”, the duties and responsibilities do not fit NOC 1225.
2015 August – Present: Have been working under the title of “Senior Contracts Administrator”, and almost all of my duties and responsibilities are listed under NOC 1225 “purchasing agents and officers”
All of my experiences are foreign (i.e. outside Canada).
I am unable to provide any reference letter my employment between 2010 August – 2015 August, because the company is a family owned business and I left the company despite it has insisted on me staying. Particularly the owner of the company dislikes me and in the event I tried to request for a reference letter, he would do his best to ensure I would not be given that reference letter, not only from him, but also from anyone working for the company. So unprofessional, isn't it ?
I would like to pursue my career in contracts administration anyway, and I do not want to claim points for business development and sales manager position between 2010 – 2015 anyway. So, I completely removed the experience between 2010 – 2015 from my express entry profile. The profile only shows my experiences between 2005 - 2010 and 2015 – present. If I ever receive an ITA with 428 points someday, I plan to clarify the experience between 2010 – 2015 in the personal section, wherein I intend to state that I do not claim any points for that particular experience as to my knowledge it doesn’t alter my CRS points anyway and moreover I don’t plan to pursue a career in Business Development in Sales. Therefore, I did not include it in my express entry profile. Is this answer a misrepresentation ? If so, then what should be the correct approach? If it is not a misrepresentation, then is it a proper statement? Will I still need to provide any documents? If so, would you kindly advice ?
Secondly, my wife has been working in a company’s HR department for 6 years. During her first four years, she worked as the HR specialist, then during her last two years she has been working as the HR Manager. I would like to reconfirm if it would be totally acceptable (and it would not be a misrepresentation) if I completely removed her experience from spouse experience under Express Entry, and include in Personal History section if I ever receive the golden ITA. This is because her experience is also foreign (i.e. outside Canada), so I am not claiming any points for that, and I don't want to pursue an attempt to receive work experience letters for her as well.
I apologize if it has been too long to read.
I deeply appreciate your time and attention.
Thanks in advance,
Quorn
