I am hoping to recieve ppr-1 soon. Just sent following email to LVO

Dear Sir/Madam,

I completed my medical on 07 November 2012.

To present 7 months (216 days) has been passed and I have not heard anything from London , visa office.

I also sent two case inquiry emails 31 March 2013 and 15 May 2013 but received no feedback.

Could you please let me know the current status of my application?

Please tell me if there's anything pending at my end and/or when I can expect my application to move forward to the next step.

I'll be obliged.

Thanks in advance,

So Finally i recieved email from LVO, this time i got email from MCH before NXR used to reply me.

Background checks are outstanding and these may take several months to complete. We will advise further when in a position to do so.

What is the difference between these two emails applicant usually recieved after MR, Is it have the same meaning?

1) Your Background checks are outstanding and these may take several months to complete.
We will advise further when in a position to do so.

2) Please be advised that your file is currently undergoing routine background checks. We will be in contact with further information once these checks are complete.

I get the impression that the first statement suggests that background checks have not yet commenced, and that it may be several months before you hear anything (they actually say that it may take several months to complete!) - so you can expect to wait upto 6 months.

The second statements says that they are underway, which means that if you have received the second statement as a response to your request, you are likely to hear something sooner
