Our MR was dated 31st August, received by regular mail, check with your post office, secondly,I read some where on this forum that if the forms are lost, you have to report to police and all such stuff, plz confirm with MR engineer

I would refrain from posting stuff that can't possibly be true (unless you have proof or can show me something on the CIC website). Reporting lost mail to the police seems extremely far-fetched.

I read on canada visa forum, suit urself

Didn't mean to be rude. A lot of misinformation can be posted by uninformed posters, so it's best to double-check everything before providing advice.

Okie, you please do the checking thoroughly best of luck

mayb u shud call the VO and tell them about the whole situation. waiting for CSE reply will just delay it even more. even if calling them doesnt work u can tell tht u informed london through different means n its not ur fault if u r unable to submit medicals on time. good luck!

How to do Medicals w/out the forms?

Usually we need to do our meds thru the forms [IMM1017] supplied by our VO [the concerned CHC]. However, there could be reasons for doing the same WITHOUT them. Eg. the forms are lost, the CONsultant is withholding them, forms r somewhere & u r somewhere else etc. In such case, we 'can do the meds w/out the forms' too. Here's how:

1. Email CHC again to re-issue u the IMM1017 [med forms]... if time permits.
2. If not, Contact a DMP for an appointment.
3. Inform the DMP, in advance, that u want to do the meds "w/out" the forms.
4. They can get your meds done by 'creating' those forms* for u.

*Note:
- All DMPs have those 'blank'* forms.
- All they need is an 'authority' to do so. If u have the CHC's email - it would suffice.
- If u don't have an email from CHC, yet the DMP'll be happy to assist u [read they want the money].
- They'll need your File No. + 2xPhotos to prepare the forms [specific for u].
- U need to show the DMP your original Pps & pay the DMP's Fees [of course].

Important: If u do not get the CHC's nod to do the meds, remember the meds expire by 1yr & your visa/s will be valid till that period 'only' [except if anyone of your dependent's Pps expire before that, then it'd be earlier]. So, doing the meds early could be risky - as it might offer u lesser time to 'land'. If that's Ok with u, plz be free to get the meds done earlier.

Hope that helped...

Thanks. I'm in the UAE and I'm not sure if MRs are sent by courier. (I received the additional documents request by regular mail.)

When the LVO replies they can confirm about that too. In any case if it was lost they should be able to issue again and re-schedule, since it is something out of your control...

LVO does not give any kind of info over the phone (I think it's somewhere on the LVO site) but what he could do is to reply to the e-mail he's already got from LVO. There is a chance that the answer came from his VO e-mail address then any e-mails he sends will go straight to that personal inbox instead to the general one for CSE enquiries. I did that and got quick replies so maybe it works...or maybe it depends on who your VO is.

Yolex you are amongst the lucky ones who have adress of there VO

Although I too consider myself lucky that my MR Was not lost in post, coz believe me the situation of regular mails in pakistan is terrible

Yes, I have to consider myself lucky. I do know the problems with post abroad. In my country it's not much better.Hopefully LVO would be able to solve the problem...

Can u plz share the email address template of ur Visa Officer with us (hide the real name). So that we can know whether its a VO's email address or general one.
