The issue date on the visa says 29th Sept.
It was received at the Abu Dhabi CHC on 1st Oct.
And delivered to us by Aramex on 4th.
The best time to land in Canada is as soon as you get your visas. I am landing mid of Nov to brave the cold.

Wow!! 3 weeks to get PPs back with visa is a great result.
We want to land also ASAP but B is gotta give notice at work and the contract for the house ends in March but looks like they are gonna let us end it b4 that. Because the kids are still very young we don't wanna rush them too much and we don't want to buy any tickets until we have the visas in our hands (which I calculated that being about middle of november if it were to take 6 weeks), so we thought end of January could be good as would give us time to sort out paperwork, get rid of stuff and get the bits the kids will need (clothes wise).
Anyway, don't forget to get your thermals they will keep you nice and warm and also a good winter waterproof coat!!!! ;D
I've got a relative in Calgary and she's told me to try and get the 1st place you rent including utilities (unless until you get use to know how much you'll use and the cost). If you need any info about housing pls let me know (I've based my search in Toronto but I reckon the sites I've used are for the whole of the country)
