Does the one year of work experience to qualify under the Canadian Experience Class include non-paid employment? Is there a minimum wage requirement for qualifying employment?

Non-paid employment does not qualify under the Canadian Experience Class. You must have been paid a wage (or earned a commission) but there is no minimum wage requirement for your qualifying work experience.

Full-time work experience means working at least 30 paid hours per week. To qualify, you must have skilled work experience, meaning work in occupations listed at NOC Skill Type 0 (managerial), or NOC Skill Level A (professional occupations) or NOC skill Level B (technical and trade occupations).

Hello,
Recently, I got job as a cnc machinist with NOC code 7231.I am getting paid 17.05 CAD. Does that amount of salary affect my eligibility for express entry after 1 year? My company is located at Huron park,Ontario. It is approx 50 km away from London, Ontario.
Please help me. Should I keep this job or change it.

No it doesn't affect at all.

Thank you so much @Peacekeeper87 .
Actually, some of my friends are getting 19-20$ for CNC machinist position.yet, low wage for CNC machinist position is 16$. It is mentioned in job bank with 7231 NOC code. So, I should keep this job. Am I right?

2) my second question is that does the probationary period count in a 1 year skilled work experience? For example, if I start my job start of November,2018 then can I apply for PR after 1 year in November, 2019?

Thanks

Yes you can keep the job. Wage cannot be used in work experience evaluation. There has been a court order on this.
Yes, 1 year is 1 year, even with a probationary period.

Hi! I work as a Tim Hortons Supervisor with $14.50 as my wage rate in Oakville. The minimum wage in Ontario is $14. Is it okay if I apply for express entry?
Is my salary okay or is it low? Please help. Thanks

Hi Positivemindset15,
I'm applying based on Tim Hortons supervisor position. I was getting paid minimum wage. Hope that helps.

My employer will give me the job letter with all my duties and responsibilities listed. Does my wage rate have to be certain dollars per hour or does it not matter?

Salary isn't an issue, no matter how much it is.

hi there, I received the invitation in last draw I just have one question I applied in NOC 1241 and my salary currently is 17.5$, will this create any issue?

Hello guys.

I´ve been working in Canada under a skilled NOC, but my salary is lower than the NOC´s average. Does this mean I will not be given points for Canadian Experience when I appy to Express Entry? Please help. Thank you!

(My job offer will have the proper salary for my NOC)
