Your level of education is irrelevant when it comes to Spousal sponsorship and it won’t be a reason for denial even if you got no education at all. They only check the genuineness of your relationship and make sure that your not inadmissible on security or medical grounds.

An open work permit (even if not working) is not guaranteed for spouses of students but isn't based on education. It is more related to resources. If your husband plans on pursuing a PGWP after graduation you will be able to get an OWP once he secures a skilled job and has a few salary payments.

This has nothing to do with spousal sponsorship. OP is asking about an open work permit / visitor visa to accompany a spouse who is in Canada on an international study permit. To be approved the applicant must typically prove they have no plans on remaining in Canada long term, that they have funds to support themselves while in Canada and other background factors are assessed (including employment and past travel). Approval is not guaranteed and we see many refusals on this forum.

OP - Strongly recommend you move over to the International Students section and Foreign Workers section of the forum. Right now you're posting in the wrong section of the forum.

Your husband is not Canadian - he is coming to Canada on a study permit - correct?

If so, you are posting in the wrong section of the forum. This section is for Canadians who are sponsoring family members for PR. You need to post your question to the International Students section of the forum.

I think it would be good to get a bit more background. When did he sponsor you for PR? Also, I assume he's living in Canada right now since he's a PR and you are living outside of Canada and want to join him there? Is that right?

Since he is a PR, there's no temporary spousal visa available for you to join him. You would have to apply for either a TRV or ETA (depending on your country of origin). A TRV may be quite difficult to get since your spouse is a PR of Canada.

If I understood correct, OP is worried that her PR holder husband would not be able to sponsor her as a spouse since OP got no degree and they got married at the young age and OP is worried that she won’t qualify for spousal sponsorship.

Then like I said above your education level is irrelevant (not important) and you shouldn’t worry about that. Did you get married before your husband landed in Canada as PR?
