Try being a piece of meat in a random chatroom. Single, American/Canadian woman.... you get harassed by complete losers. I'm 31. Does a 23 year old unemployed guy who can barely type think I seriously would be interested in him? Sorry, I learned my lesson about unemployed losers already in that first husband incident.

Possibly, but it's two different accounts.

Ali.H--States he is from Iraq, is going to pay a Canadian woman to marry him
N.Ali--States he is from Pakistan, has a Canadian wife

They both registered today, though, and the names are very similar, so it's possible that both accounts are actually from the same person, especially as the more "legitimate" one was registered a few hours later, after people had started giving Ali.H well-deserved *censored word* for trying to scam his way into Canada.

Edit: I looked again, N.Ali registered on the 19th, not the 29th, which is well before Ali.H (the scammer) started posting. So it's probably different people.

I posted a strong word of caution a couple of weeks ago to those who were sponsoring people from a specific country and my post was removed by the mods after people claimed it was racist. I tried to point out that it was nothing of the sort, I was simply pointing out that there's a reason the wait times for application approval for people from this particular country is as long as it is, and that's because there have been a significant number of marriage frauds perpetrated by people from there. My encouragement was to beware, to keep one's wits about oneself, to test the waters thoroughly, so to speak, to carefully examine those red flags which may pop up over the course of time and not just slough them off and ignore them, before letting one's emotions rule the day and possibly cost big time in terms of emotional and financial turmoil.

Of course not all folk immigrating from there via Spousal Sponsorships are frauds, I was just pointing out that in the number of months I've been part of this board, there've been at least three or four women who claimed they've been scammed by men from that country, that once they arrived in Canada with their PR, they pulled the rug out from under them. Naming the country wasn't politically correct apparently.

Yes I recall reading your post and recall everyone jumping down your throat. That's one of the few reasons I started this thread...it was a bit softer...but focused not on where a person is from but rather zoom in on "individuals".

There was another thread started a few days ago where someone was asking if her sister's or mother's or someone's PR had been approved....I think some people get confused about this site...when you google "canada immigration", this is one of the choices!!!
