Lost previous work permit record

Hi friends,

I am in the process of filling out my citizenship application and I just realized that I can't find the open work permit that I had right before I became a PR.
I had a work permit between 2013 July - 2016 Feb,
I had another work permit between 2016 Feb - ???,
but it was somehow discarded because I became a PR in 2016 June.

In the fields that I had to list out my statuses before PR (and the online physical presence calculator), I am not sure if I can just fill out 'Open work permit temp resident between 2013 July - 2016 June' or do I need to list out all according to the documents?
And if that's the case, how can I get a copy of that lost work permit record?

My work permit was not returned to me when I did my “landing” at the border to confirm my PR.

If you are worried about the date your status ended before you became PR, it ended when you became PR. Use that date. You do not need the exact expiration date on your missing (?) work permit.

That makes sense! I was wondering why I don't have it, you are right I think they took it from me.

Can I list them out in one item then? (2013 July - 2016 June) even though there were 2 work permits that were issued. The thing is I know the second one was issued in 2016 Feb, but I don't know the exact date.

Just my opinion, I will list them separately. It is important to put the exact dates in the calculator just in case there are gaps.

Maybe you have a photocopy or scanned copy of the said work permit? Or maybe you have a copy of your PR application which may have the date you are looking for?

CIC will know your work permit details as its in the system all is available under the UCI.
