hello house, i lost my passport and i want to do another one with the same old passport number.do i have to let the visa office handling my application know about the lost passport since i already submitted like 5 month ago and how will i go about informing them.thanks

You need to contact your passport office and let them know that your passport has been lost. You may need your passport again for passport request prior to your application being processed so contact your local passport office as soon as possible.

When you get the new passport, photocopy and send it to CIC via Case Specific Enquiry. Let them know you lost your passport and needed to get a new one.

Hi.. what happened with your file and how did it go. We have the same situation now. Lost our passport before medical and now don’t know what should I do.

You need a valid passport to be ready for PPR. Everything else can be completed without it. Just apply for new one. Don't delay. Advise IRCC via webform of a new passport as soon as you get it.
