My Spouse needs to be sponsored as she is already out of status here in Canada for many years, the only problem we encounter right now, is one of the requirements in the document checklist that asks for the old passport containing her stamped entry in Canada which she lost as she was moving to different residence. We don't have any idea on how to comply the said requirement. Hope someone can enlighten this problem of ours. Any ideas is very much appreciated.

Do you know the year ,month your wife first came to Canada . Approx day that she came in.If she has an idea i would write that date down and attach a separate piece of paper and write this is an approx date of entry .

Thank you for the quick reply, yes, she does, just thinking if she needs to go to a lawyer and have an affidavit of loss?

Did she report her passport Lost .She needs to do that . I don't believe she has to go to a lawyer but she does need to report it . When she goes to get another passport they will ask her this question also . I'm sorry i read your status wrong.I thought you were asking the question that is on one of the forms . First date of entry into Canada .

Not if it has expired she doesn't. The OP doesn't say so, but I'm thinking it has.

No that's correct , if it has expired then she don't. What the OP asked later on was they want her old passport that contained her original stamp into Canada . So my thing was hoping that she reported it so there is no issues. If she has a new passport then an explanation will do just fine as to why she can't send her passport with her original stamp in it.

Her old passport has expired a long time ago, she was able to renew twice, got new passport but as we were looking for the old passport to finalize our papers, she couldn't find them..
